Finger Painting

Hello Bloggers! It has been a while since I've posted. We had a great Christmas except for so much sickness. I was sick, my dil's were sick while visiting, and my son was suffering from back pain. I think I am about to get over my allergies after a doctor visit which included a shot and meds. My family left on Monday and the trees and decorations started coming down immediately. Everything is packed away and the house cleaned. Hubby returned to work yesterday after being off work for three weeks and I really miss him being here.

My card is a bit different today...no stamps.  It's rather small, too, being a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. I really like the size.  I wanted to do the MIX49 challenge on Splitcoaststampers and the challenge is Happy Little Clouds with finger painting. I smeared Tim Holtz Broken China paint at the top in a way that snow caps were made and then finger painted some white clouds with Liquitex modeling paste.

My trees were painted using Inka Gold Metallic Rub in green yellow and copper. I also painted some of the Tim Holtz paint for highlights in the snow.

As you can see, I used a polaroid style image.

Well, that's about it. I'll be by to visit your blogs and see what I've missed. I may not be able to comment on all but I'll see them.

Recipe:
Stamps-None
Paper-PTI white cardstock
Ink-Tim Holtz Distress Paint/Broken China
Accessories-Inka Gold Metallic Rub/green yellow and copper, Liquitex Modeling Paste

Well you have a hidden talent here in finger painting I see. I am surprised however that you didn't find a way to paint in a snowman. LOL Seriously, this came out very nice. I to hope you are all back in good health at this point. Sickness plagued a lot of homes this Holiday season. I'm also sorry Hubby had to return to work. I know how nice it is to have them around with us. I was so excited when we got out snow storm because this was the first storm since Hubby retired and he was able to stay home with me for the duration. YAY. Well enjoy the rest of your weekend. Glad to see you back to crafting.

So sorry to hear there was so much sickness. And I remember you saying you got out of Dodge really quickly after your DIL had come down with the flu. You still got sick, huh? :(

Love your happy little trees and happy little clouds on the mini masterpiece. :)

Sorry to hear you were sick Benzi but glad to hear you decorations were down and your house cleaned. I am still cleaning mine. I haven't felt this good in years. I am able to breath so I am doing a deep clean. You know magic erase cleans everything with no chemicals. I am loving that stuff!!!! My house was never a "Mess" sort of speak and people will think I am crazy that know me, but I have to clean the way it makes me happy. I get such satisfaction knowing that everything is "clean". It's a big job because I have collectibles, but I am getting there. I won't have to do it again for a long time. I love your finger painted card. It looks like mixed media which is so popular. I love getting messy when crafting!!!!
