The Raggedies

This week at Tuesday Throwdown #66, Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps is supplying the team with digital stamps to use. Our challenge this week is pearls. My pearls are on the sentiment panel, six black pearls.  I love this adorable digi called The Raggedies. My son had a Raggedy Andy when he was really small. He still has it although one of the feet is barely hanging on and needs repairing.

I decided to make an easel card. I colored the image with Copics, used letters from an alphabet I bought when I used to scrapbook, and used a heart punch.

Challenges I'm entering:
Stamps R Us Challenge Blog-Friendship
I Did It Creations Challenge Blog-#72-Anything Goes
My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette #26-red, white, and blue

Recipe:
Stamps: Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps
Paper: Stampin'Up! Real Red, PTI white cs
Accessories: misc. letters, Fiskars punch with no name, Copics, black pearls

Benzi this touches my heart. I love this image. I used to make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and sell them like hot cakes. Your coloring is fantastic and the layout and the border punch with the hearts is perfect. What a darling card.

Oh, how very sweet. My grandma used to make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for all of her grandchildren. My sister and I received countless sets!! Each one in different clothes. We loved the yarn hair right off those sweet dolls! Thanks for the trip down memory lane with your adorable card. :)

Raggedy Ann and Andy were soooo much a part of a couple of generations' childhoods, and I'm not sure if they even sell them anymore! I bought one for my 13 YO when she was small, but I'm sad to say it did not make a big impact on her. Ann is stuffed in a bag in the attic, was never a fave. :( I think your coloring of this digi image is WONDERFUL.

Benzi, this is wonderful! I really like how the image stands out against the red background, and the sweet little frill of the greeting piece with those beautiful black pearls. It seems many of us loved and cherished these raggedies as children, as did our children -- thanks for sharing your own sweet memories of your son's raggedy! :-)
