Christmas Pines

Here I am with my last card for the week. It is for the Queen for the Day challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The newly crowned queen is Peggy aka pegmac71. This is the card I cased.
Isn't her card beautiful? Of course, I changed it up quite a bit and made mine Christmas.  I added a layer, also. The ribbon was moved up and I added a sentiment.

My stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co.  The image is New Pines and the sentiment is Greetings of the Season Mini.

Recipe:
Accessories: Martha Stewart aspen snowflake punch around the page, Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, Tim Holtz Distress embossing ink, Tim Holtz Distress embossing powder/peeled paint, Ribbon FX satin stripe ribbon, Recollections red gemstone, hand cut banner

My card is entered into the Aud Sentiments challenge to make a card or project with a Christmas or holiday sentiment.

Put That to Music

I love the challenge this week that Sabrina Friel gave us over at CCEE Stampers. The challenge is to use a bird/birds and music. It doesn't have to be music paper or embellishments...song lyrics count, too.  I happen to love both. And, the plus is, I got another Christmas card made. Of course, you don't have to make yours a Christmas card...only if you want.

My music paper and the plaid is from a 6 x 6 pad of paper from The Paper Studio and it is Old World Winter. I'm using Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler for the bases and panels.

My sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co. and it is from the set, Christmas in the Country.

I'm using a Stampin'Up! bird punch and a Memory Box woodland branch die. The music punch is EK PSN LE Symphony large edger punch.

The banner is hand cut and I sponged the bird's wings with Memento Rich Cocoa and Desert Sand inks.

Hope you'll go over to the CCEE Stampers challenge blog and check out the beautiful cards made by the rest of the team .Of course, we would love for you to add yours, too.

My card is entered into the challenge at Aud Sentiments-Card or project with a Christmas or Holiday sentiment.

Family Fun-CASology

The cue card word at CASology this week for challenge #9 is FAMILY. I love my little snowman family. I'm thinking that is Mom and Dad on the bottom and little ones on top. Hope they don't fall off. LOL We don't have a lot of snow in AL, but occasionally we do, and what is better than playing in the snow? I've certainly had some fun times with my boys in the snow. What a treat! I know, I know,  some of you just want it to go away and never return. :-)

I'm using an Inky Antics stamp for my snowman image/The Whole Gang.  The sentiment is a 'no name' stamp....sorry.

I wanted to leave my card mostly black and white. It reminds me of some cards I see in gift shops done only in black and white and I love every one of them. I can't remember what company makes them. I did color a bit of the snowmen with a C1 gray Copic and colored the red heart. My twine is from The Twinery and is Maraschino.

I'm also entering my card into the Christmas challenge #18 at Creative Card Crew

Heading Back to School

I guess just about everyone will be back to school after Labor Day, if not already. So, the Friends of Speedy TV challenge #36 is to make a back to school card.

I am using a Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co. set call Lesson Learned. The small apples were on a desk image in the set and I just colored, cut out, and popped those on my card. The sentiments are on a  notebook paper embossing folder by The Paper Studio.

The designer paper is unknown. Ink used is Memento Bamboo Leaves and Potter's Clay.

Now, for the prize up for grabs this week:

If you play along with us this week, maybe you will be the lucky winner of this set, I'm in Stitches. So, it's time to get stampin' and show us your creation.
