My Top Ten Favorites of 2011 (maybe)

Over at Give A Girl A Blog, Kellie wants to see our top 10 favorites we've created for 2011. Well, that was very hard to decide and I had to leave some out. Boo Hoo... You know what, most of mine turned out to be CAS (clean and simple) cards.

A Case for Miss Boo-QFTD93

Jen aka Miss Boo is QFTD93 on Splitcoaststampers and I cased this card of Jen's. I think it is so cute and fun. I didn't go with Christmas and even thought this could be used as a Valentine for my hubby if I don't decide to go with hearts.

I'm using one of my new Christmas crafting gifts, Arboscello Tree from Memory Box (die cut) and stamped a sentiment from Stampin'Up!'s Well Scripted stamp set..a favorite set of mine. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Victoria and I'm using Stampin'Up Rich Razzleberry ink. That's about it, folks. Hope you like it.

A Promise of Spring

Are you ready for Spring?? I certainly am and can hardly wait. I know it is far away but I can smell the fresh mowing of grass, hear the birds singing, and see butterflies fluttering all around. What a picture!!! Guess that will be a while. :-(

I made my card today for the QFTD92, barbaradwyer82, on Splitcoaststampers. I usually do this on Friday but no time last week. I'm playing catch up today before I finishing taking down my Christmas decorations.

Here is Barbara's lovely card I cased. I added a fanciful flourish, different trellis (window), and used a punch on the sentiment piece instead of ribbon. I'm using a stamp set called Pussy Willows from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company.

Winter Card----FOSTV challenge #13

Christmas day will be over by the time this post shows up. We have our sons and their families visiting and still enjoying the holidays. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got plenty of new crafting supplies. I did.....even as I post this before Christmas I can tell you I ordered myself some goodies for hubby to give me. Can't wait to start using them.

This week's challenge at Friends of Speedy TV found here, week 13, is to make a winter card or use the color blue. I love doing wintry cards in blue. It always seems pretty and icy. Hope you'll go over to Home of Speedy TV and join us.

My image is from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company and is called Ice and Snow. I masked the trees at the bottom, used some white ink and a clear, deep impression embossing powder from Stamp 'n' Stuff to make my snow on the ground and really like the way it turned out. After adding the Star Dust Stickles to the trees, I see they don't show very much. The punch around the page is Martha Stewart Woodland Branch edge punch and MS Bird and Branch corner punch. Added some silver cording and it's complete.
