Colonial for a Queen

I made my card today for the Queen on SCS and I really like it but when I tweaked my photo it looks too orange. It really isn't that bright irl.

The new Queen is Cathy aka cathymac and she has a yummy gallery of cards. I chose this card to case.

I stamped my lace background, then stamped the pineapple inside the frame. Just added a ribbon, sentiment, and some pearls and it is finished.

Recipe:
Stamps-Hero Arts-Lace Frame, Stampabilities-Pineapple, Inkadinkado Garden Flowers (sentiment)
Paper-PTI vintage cream, designer paper is 7gypsies Savannah Collection/Telfair
Ink-Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories-brown pearls, Ribbon FX

CCEE Stampers-Nautical

Kathy gave the challenge for a nautical-type card this week for the CCEE Stampers. My card is a bit small being 4 x 4. It started out as a tent topper but it just wouldn't work with my larger image. So, this is it and I do like it just the same.  I love nautical cards and this makes me want to head to the beach.

I colored my boat with Copics, sponged some clouds,  and added a seashell. The images are all from a soon-to-be released set from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company called Silly Shells. It is a super set.

Come on over to CCEE Stampers and make a nautical card..it can be a ship, lighthouse, boat, etc.
Just link up with us...we would love to see your creations.

FOSTV-Father's Day

Good Morning! Hope you all had a great weekend. I went to a wedding on the Mississippi River this past weekend. It was gorgeous. The groom was a friend of my youngest son. He was 'best man' so I got to see him and my DIL this weekend, too.

I'm celebrating my birthday today, also. Another year older and I feel it as I only slept about an hour last night. That's another story.

For this week's Father's Day challenge at Friends of Speedy TV, I went very CAS. I'm thinking that is all that is needed for a masculine card....no frills. I inked my small acrylic block with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Stormy Sky and stamped. I then added stamped my leaf in Stampin'Up! Night of Navy ink.

The stamp sets I used are Mark's Finest Papers Autumn Glory and Get Reel for the sentiment.

We hope you'll join us this week for the Father's Day challenge#24  and make a Father's Day card. This is the stamp set that a lucky winner will receive.

I also made a couple other cards for Father's Day and wasn't sure if this one look a little too Fall-ish but l'll show them just the same. I used the Emboss Resist technique and really brought out the sentiment on this one:

You can find this technique here on Splitcoaststampers in Resources.
Recipe:
Stamps--Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co.-Autumn Glory and for the sentiment, Get Reel, the same as above card
Paper- MFP-Old World Gold
Ink-Tim Holtz Distress Ink/Crushed Olive, Stormy Sky, Wild Honey
Accessories- VersaMark, Zing clear embossing powder, gold metal brads, handmade banners

This is another card I made using the same set.
