Simple Black and White

CCEE1303

Joanne Grzelak gave the challenge this week at CCEE Stampers to make a CAS (clean and simple) sympathy card. I do love making a CAS card and ending with a clean, crisp look. I chose black and white which I think gives it an elegant look.

My image is Stampin'Up! Thoughts and Prayers and the sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, Oopsy Daisy.

I added a couple of score lines with the Scor-Pal and some Kaiser pearls in black.

We hope you'll join us and let us see your sympathy card. I know I really should make more of this type card to have on hand.

I'm entering my card into the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #5-use black and white and, if you like, a splash of color

This is a beautiful and elegant sympathy card, Brenda! I might have to CASE this one. You never want to make these when you actually need them. Oh, and I'd be delighted to send any snow where going to have up to you!

Oh, a perfect card for the challenge Benz. It is so crisp and clean. Love the score lines and black pearls. I need to have more on hand as, unfortunately, a lot of deaths have come via friends this past year. Hugs!

Brenda, this is a chic and eye pleasing card! I too should make more sympathy cards but never do it. I guess I think if I don't make them, I won't need them.

As I sit here typing this, the snow is falling outside. I only wish it would come down a little faster and stick for a day or two. After that, I don't care to see it until next year ... lol

I saw this beauty in your SCS gallery and had to come here and tell you how elegant and beautiful your stunning card is, Brenda! I love how you used this stamp set (yes, we were on the same wave length, weren't we?) with the added touches of the scoring and black brads.

One of my favourite stamps, and I didn't even think of using it! I have to say I like your sentiment much better than the ones that come with it - and I am admiring how great it looks in black, which I have never tried. What a great CAS sympathy card.

I struggle with CAS! I can't keep it simple!!! You make it seem so easy! Sympathy cards are ones I struggle with. I never like to have them on hand I feel like I'm willing a need for it. Crazy huh! So I usually scramble around when that dreadful time comes. I really should make more.

One of my fav images and you did a wonderful job with it. I may have to case it! So I heard you did see snow yesterday - we even got some although it melted instantly. Warm hugz to you!
