MFP Sneak Peek

I really love this big ol' bear and he makes awesome, masculine cards... don't you think? Of course, it can be used for any occasion you prefer. My card is made to give a sneak peek of one of the sets   being released next Tuesday at Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company. It is called North American Woods. The set has some great images and sentiments. The blog hop starts next Tuesday and you'll be seeing the complete release. Hope you'll join us.

I colored, cut out, and popped my image. Then, I sponged around the image for a sunny look. I think he is coming out early morning looking for food. That's my take on it, anyway. :-)

I want to enter my card into these challenges:

Celebrate

Another queen has been crowned on Splitcoaststampers. It is Jennifer G. Taylor aka JenMarie. I have cased this card of Jen's. Her image is a truffle tree! Now, who wouldn't want that growing in their yard? Yummmmmm

I went CAS and used a Gina K. Designs image called Celebrate in Style. It was a 'happy' from my sis. She is always giving me something crafty. How super is that? I used black and white and only one tiny rhinestone for embellishment. That's it!!!

Shirley at CCEE Stampers gave the challenge this week to make a card using a favorite sketch and add some brads. I love this sketch and it's from a sketch challenge (349) given by Rox71 on Splitcoaststampers. I've used it before and knew it was the one for this card.

Award

Bernie at Bernie's Craft Closet honored me with this award. Bernie is such a sweet lady and funny, too.
She told a story recently about how she was about to die cut something, the die just disappeared , she searched forever to find it...never did. Many hours later, she went the dinner table and hubby told her she had been wearing something on her sleeve all day and he was curious to know what it was....the DIE!! Except, her complete story was much funnier. She cracks me up.

The idea of the award is that it be given to bloggers with less than 200 followers in the hope that it will bring them new friends and followers.

It has very simple rules and they are as follows:

1 Show your appreciation of the award by thanking the person who awarded you and link back to their blog.
2 Reveal your five choices for the award and let them know.
3 Post the award on your blog.
4 Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the blog sphere - other bloggers.
5 Finally and best of all - have fun and spread the love.

I so appreciate this award from Bernie and hope she doesn't mind that I handle it this way as I don't like choosing bloggers to give awards to....don't want to leave anyone out. So, I'll just say to each person that visits my blog, consider yourself deserving (because you are) and pick up this award if you like because you all are fantastic. Is that o.k., Bernie? :-)

Ready for Dogwoods

I know I'm ready for the dogwoods to bloom. I love every color of dogwood, lt. pink, dk pink, white...you name it. And, they are such a beautiful sign of Spring and Easter. Can't wait!

A Simple Valentine

It's not much more than a week until Valentine's Day so it is time to buckle down and get those cards made.
The Friends of Speedy TV (FOSTV) challenge #6 found at Home of Speedy TV is to make a Valentine card. I'm using a Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company stamp set called Love Remains and the paper from the same company is Cherry Slush, Licorice Whips, and Premium Heavy White.

I thought I would leave my rose without color and just put down some Stickles (star dust) for sparkle.. I used my Martha Stewart scoring board to score and added a ribbon.  That's it...a CAS card!

We would love to have you join us for this challenge.
