Fall Leaves With a Message

Friday has arrived and this will be my last card to post this week. Guess who it is for? You got it..my usual, Queen for the Day 130. The queen is Loll Thompson and here is the card I cased. Loll has a gallery full of wonderful CAS/clean and simple cards. I have really gotten to love creating this type card so I jumped right on this challenge.
My ribbon is from my sis (a box full of different ribbons) and all so pretty. Thanks, Sis!

My card is also for a challenge I haven't entered before-A Paperie Journey/One Layer Wednesday-The challenge is AUTUMN and what you love about it. For one thing,  I love the beautiful leaves God gave us to enjoy.

Autumn Waterfall

Watch out! Long post........

This was my first time to make a waterfall card. I must say it was fun and I took the opportunity to make it a Fall card which can be used either for Thanksgiving or Halloween. A sentiment can be put inside when I decide which I want.  The challenge I'm doing is for CCEE Stampers, given by Sabrina Friel to make either a waterfall card or a free standing pop-up card. The tutorial for both of these can be found in the tutorial section on Splitcoaststampers.

If you pull the tab at the bottom of the card, it begins to unfold each of the stamped squares. Just push the tab back up to close it. The SCS tutorial shows better how this works.

I've stamped images used on the squares on the Crumb Cake cardstock. I colored images on my squares with Copics.

Shown below are the last two images still unfolding.

We hope you'll go over to the challenge 1237 and join us in making these fun cards. We would love to see what you make.

Smiling Night Star

Grrrrrrr...have you ever cut up the card you just finished? I HAVE!! I just completed my card after making it twice because I got a smudge on the first one. I went off into another room, came back and was going to cut the back off the first one for a scrap  and instead cut up the card I had ready to photograph. You could say I'm not a happy stamper this morning. :(  But, I must carry on and post the latest card I did  (that would be #3).

I'm entering my card into the CASology challenge #10. The cue word this week is SKY.

The team asked us to look up to the sky this week and see where our creativity takes us. I recently bought this smiling star stamp and thought it would be good to hang in the night sky smiling down on us. I stamped my clouds and then stamped the star, colored, cut out, and popped over the clouds.

Recipe:
Stamps-Stampabilities/Cursive Smile (sentiment) and Stampabilities/Star, Stampscapes/Cloud(Cumulus)
Paper-PTI white cardstock
Ink-Memento Paris Dusk and Tuxedo Black
Accessories-Copic Y2 canary yellow, dimensionals for popping star

Christmas With a Woodsy Flair

Hope you all had a great weekend. Hubby and I travelled to a football game on Saturday to see the Alabama Crimson Tide play. They won!!! So, that made for a super day.  On Sunday night, hubby and I sang in a praise and worship concert. So, no crafting for me...just a busy and very nice weekend.

I really love my card today. Friends of Speedy TV's challenge this week, #37, is to case someone's card. Just find a card you love and case it (copy and share everything or copy and selectively edit).  I didn't get to play in the Featured Stamper 289 challenge on Splitcoaststampers about 3 weeks ago but this stamper, Maureen Merritt aka mamamostamps had the most awesome and fun gallery. When I saw this card, I knew it was the one I wanted to case.

The stamp set I used is from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co.Greetings of the Season Mini.  The image was stamped on a top note die from Stampin'Up! A bit of sponging was added to the edge.

I used an embossing folder called Woodgrain Texture Fades-Alterations from Tim Holtz. It was inked with chocolate chip ink before running it through the machine giving it a more woodsy look. I've added a bit of chalk and sparkle to my pine cone.  The last thing was to add my ribbon.

The stamp set being given away to some lucky winner playing in our challenge this week is New Pines.
Hope you'll come over to Speedy TV and join us.
