QFTD32 on Splitcoaststampers, Bah! Humbug! challenge

Today's Queen For the Day on Splitcoaststampers is Linda aka morningsun47. What a deserving, sweet person. I am so glad to case one of her cards. I am really loving the CAS cards lately and wanted to do another one today. I just ruined my embossing folder by getting a speck of ink on one side so I had to find a plan other than the one I started with. You know how a speck of ink would magnify on a photo. Ugh!
So, the card I cased had used a partial folder. I cut mine in half, used that section, and because both ends were the same, I cut out the poinsettia on the opposite end, sponged it, and popped on dimensionals for my embellishment. In the end, I really liked it.

I'm also entering my card into this challenge: Bah! Humbug!  Their challenge #41 this week is elegance. It is your personal choice of what constitutes elegance and I am going with the simplicity of my card and I think the sentiment is very elegant.
Recipe:
Stamp: Set made for Hobby Lobby called Happy Holiday Christmas 2009
Paper: Stampin'Up! Real Red cardstock, white cardstock
VersaMark Dazzle-frost
Decorating Chalks by Craf-T-Products
Stampendous white embossing powder
Cuttlebug Holiday Plus Shapes embossing folder (bundle)

This is elegance at it's finest! I just love the sentiment fonts! I'm also drawn to C&S cards of late, and the striking diagonal contrast really draws the eye in! You did a beautiful job on this!!

Hello Benzi

What a fabulous and sooooooooo elegant card - it's stunning. I love the embossed folder and the red against white is just perfect contract.
The single embossed poinsetta adds the perfect touch.

Well I vote that this is so very elegant, I do love embossing it makes the design look so very expensive.

Oh most definitely elegant, Benzi! It's beautiful. I love the way you've cut out an embossed flower to place on the red, it's really effective.

I love this CAS card Brenda! I've been leaning more towards CAS myself lately. This is just gorgeous (& elegant)! Love the white sentiment on the red cardstock and your embossing. Fabulous layout too! I may need to CASE this one myself.

Well, that lil ole ink spot really helped out! I like the look of the card with two halves being different, and what a good idea to cut out an embossed flower. Never thought of that.
