It has stormed and turned cold this week. I will freeze until May. I'll be wearing my Cuddl Dud tops every day to stay warm. If my arms get cold, I'm a goner. It will be a long winter for me. I guess you wouldn't believe me if I told you I wear them in the summer, also (inside). Yes, it is true. LOL
This week's Stampin B's Design Team challenge is a color challenge, use purple and turquoise and something shiny or sparkly. This was truly a challenge for me. I wanted to make a Christmas card and things weren't working so well. But, I found this designer paper with purplish/lavendar trees on it and used SU's Perfect Plum and a Tempting Turquoise layer. I promise the ornament on the left was Perfect Plum until I embossed it with VersaMark and glitter embossing powder. It turned more blue. My shiny part is the gold trees. They really have a pretty sheen to them. And, my gold Flower Soft braid has a nice, gold luster. Also, the gold ornament paper has some pretty beads on it. Looks like I got it covered.
My time is short and I don't even have time to enter into any more challenges. I'm going farther South this weekend and am really busy getting ready for the trip.
Recipe:
Stamps-None
Paper: Stampin'Up! Perfect Plum and Tempting Turquoise, PTI white cardstock, Martha Stewart Golden Woodland Paper Pad (dbl-sided), ANW Crestwood Golden Swirl
Accessories: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Flower Soft gold braid stickers for hanging ornaments, giltter embossing powder, VersaMark Dazzle-Frost, EK Success Ornament punch for both sizes

This is really beautiful, Benzi!! I love how you used the blue and purple for this challenge--and you even got them made into a Christmas card. How's THAT for creativity?? But the part I love the best is your SHINY bits!! You captured the shiny gold trees of your DP perfectly in your photo. I can never manage to do that sort of thing!! Simply stunning. :)

Oh, that sparkly ornament is GORGEOUS, regardless of what color it turned out to be! Your card is so pretty and so festive! I hope you find more warmth as you head south, but hurry back soon! Travel safe!
Beautiful card Brenda! I love that background paper and your ornaments are stunning! So very beautiful!
I'm not a fan of the cold myself. I tend to bundle up too. Living in Michigan makes for a long cold winter!
Oh that paper is super! You've managed to capture the sheen really well (do you have your cameras back now??)
And seriously, you wear Cuddl Duds in the summer too? You must have no fat on your body! Here, let me give you some of mine. :)
