I guess I am fortunate to be able to post my card. The tornadoes have swirled all around today with much destruction, death, and damage. I had to go to the tornado shelter three times today starting at 4:00 a.m.
The city my sister lives in, Tuscaloosa, AL has terrible damage. Even the Hobby Lobby was hit. That is a small matter when lives and homes were lost. So far, it is reported over 200 people were killed in AL.
The Stampin' B's Design Team challenge this week is monochromatic with blues and neutrals only..with paper piecing. The paper piecing is the part I forgot about until my card was made. Well, it is kind of paper pieced. Butterflies are stamped twice and popped up. Luckily, there are no rules on this challenge. Whew!
I loved this beautiful piece of paper and didn't want to stamp a sentiment on it so I left as is. Used a punch for the corners and that's about it.
I am entering my card into this challenge:

Brenda, I am SO RELIEVED that you are safe. What destruction and devestation. Alabama's hearts must be broken by now. I'm so glad to hear Sprinks is safe too. Haven't heard from her in awhile on SCS. Anyway, your card came out lovely. I agree, highlight that beautiful dp. I end up covering most of mine it seems. Your sparkly b/flies really pop off the dp. Great job my thankfully safe friend!
This is beautiful, Benzi! The paper piecing part is what gave me fits this week, too. I squeezed it in, but it took a long time to figure out how!! I love how you let the pretty paper do the talking on this card. Your sparkly butterflies are beautiful, too!
I thought about you as soon I hear about the tornados! So happy you are safe... here's to an uneventful rest of spring!
Brenda, your card is GORGEOUS!! Your blue butterflies look amazing with that pretty paper!

sweety, thank god you are safe!
those things remind us so intensive about the blessing to be alive!
your card is so tender and noble...and the butterflies with the glitter give a elegant note to it!

Hope you don't mind, but I wrote so much in my comment on SCS that I am just going to 'paste' it here.....
I have watched a bit of the reporting from your area and it is so heartwrenching to hear the stories of the devastation and deaths.......one story in particular brought me to tears...a simple story but I am sure one repeated with many families...this father was describing his good fortune that he and his children made it to safety in a basement....and after the storm had passed he walked up the stairs to open air where his house should have been.....I cannot imagine how one feels when this happens....or worse......we get hurricanes up here, but there is long term warning it is coming and in general, the devastating storms are few and far between.....I can't imagine living in tornado areas, especially this year....there have been so many........you keep safe, my friend......
AND...by the way...your card is so elegant.....I just love it and surely your butterflies are a type of paper piecing. ANd, besides...we have no rulz......and the gorgeousness far overcomes any missing element.....wonderful work, my friend
This paper is gorgeous.....you wer so sright to let it speak for itself. The butterflies are wonderful, as are the punched corners. I am so glad to hear you are safe.....the weather has been so awful...will continue to pray for you and family during this terrible storm season, Branda!
Hi Brenda
Glad to hear you're OK ... I've been thinking of you all day - your terrible weather is making our news over here! I'm sure its absolutely terrifying.
Keep safe

When I woke up and watched the news this morning, the first thing I did was google your town to make sure you weren't in the line of those wicked twisters! I hope your sister is OK since she lives in the town that was hardest hit. The twisters and floods this spring have been so devastating and heart-wrenching with so many losing their lives, their homes, and all their possessions. I'm thankful that You're OK through it all.
We were spared as it passed through our state today. Just a little north of us there were tornado warnings but we just got one bad thunderstorm that didn't last long at all. I'm very grateful!!
Now, onto your card.......those sparkly butteflies are AMAZING and GORGEOUS against this soft background! It's truly a stunning card! I love it!!
Take care now!!!
Wow, such a pretty card. Those butterflies are stunning! Hugs!
Benzi, I'm so glad you are safe. I'm horrified by the destruction those tornadoes did. My heart goes out to everyone surrounding it. I thought right away of you, Bearzi, and Nutzi. I told my girls, I hope my Punchkateer friends are safe, and their loved ones are as well.
I am so glad you and your family are safe Brenda! I am praying for all those that have been devastated by the tornadoes. Seeing the news coverage was heartbreaking!
Your card is absolutely gorgeous! Love those sparkly butterflies and the background paper! It's perfect without a sentiment. So pretty!!!
