Plus, I took a chunk out of my finger trying to put my patio umbrella up and it is hard to type. O.K., on to my card. Whew!
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday-challenge #127 has an inspiration challenge this week.
I was certainly inspired by the beautiful violet/purples and the basketweave. I tried to imitate the basketweave with my herringbone folder and even sponged some Memento London Fog ink on to try to get the color of the chairs.
Maybe I shouldn't have mixed the leaves background with the hydrangeas but too late now.
Hope my colors are good.
I used the sketch from the QFTD69 on SCS as I didn't get to do a card for the Queen, imastampin, yet. This is her gorgeous card.
Because I am working with these colors, I thought I would share a few photos of my Torenia that I have blooming in a 7 ft. box my hubby made for me after going to Gulf Shores, AL one year. There were the most beautiful flowers at several shops in these boxes. I'll just show the flowers...not the box.
Recipe:
Stamps: Flourishes Swan Lake (water hydrangeas), Flourishes Humming Along (sentiment)
Paper: PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! Old Olive, violet cardstock from Hobby Lobby
Ink: Memento London Fog and Tuxedo Black, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories: Button from Jo-Ann Stores, Tulle from Jo-Ann Stores, Stampin'Up! Dazzling Diamonds, Martha Stewart French Scroll border punch

Sorry that you got frazzled over this card but it was worth it. Can you say gorgeous? Love how you broke it into three sections and your purples is beautiful!
Along with your creative side you have a very green thumb. Beautiful flowers!
I'm headed out to play some golf with my family. Not looking forward to being in this heat. Here's hoping our golf cart goes real fast so we can at least get a good breeze and I hit the ball a decent distance to help make the breeze better.
oh i like this card the dash of purple is so striking against the white the flowers look so nice, sorry to hear that u cut your hand hope u recover soon.have a good day.
Just STUNNING!!~
Sorry you had such a horrible day but hope things are better now. You are too hard on yourself but I guess we all do that when a card doesn't come out the way we hoped for. It's lovely and the touch of magenta is perfect. Love your IRL flowers they are so pretty. Pat
Miss Benzi, Your card turned out just Beautifully! And I think we have all had a day like you are describing.. I know have..lol.. But I agree with Pat, we are all to hard on ourselves.. Never would have guessed you had a struggle with your card, It's Just so Fresh and Summery and Very Lovely.

Brenda, this is GORGEOUS! Beautiful colors, coloring, and details! Lovely card! Thanks so much for playing Flourishes FTTC Challenge!
I spotted this over on SCS earlier today and I think it's gorgeous! I'm sorry you had so much trouble creating it, but the final result is just amazing! I love how you colored the flowers, and speaking of flowers - your boxes of blooms look just lovely!!
Benzi the outcome is beautiful. You have captured the colors and essence of it!
You may have struggled, but it sure paid off. Great card. Love the colours you used and the flowers are great - on the card and the real ones :)
Brenda, my sweet friend...I think this card turned out fabulously! I love all the different elements you intergrated...from the flowers to the punched out border..everything is just perfect! I'm glad you didn't give up :)on this AWESOME card!!! Hugs ~S~
This card is absolutely gorgeous! I love those beautiful flowers! I'm sorry this card got you frazzled (it turned out beautifully though). I have experienced the same thing. You think it's going to be pretty simple, start out with a pretty good idea and then it just keeps going wrong. Luckily in the end it ended up being so pretty!
How really lovely and for some reason it look cool there too~! Maybe it's because it is hot there! LOL
beautiful blooms...in real life and on your card......and yes....I have done that myself...made the simplest of cards the most incredible 'task' by making mistakes and redos over and over...thankfully it doesn't happen too often
