Back to watercolor

What fun to go back to watercolor. That is the first way I learned to color when I starting creating cards. Then, a while back Copics came along and I got hooked on them but I still love watercoloring.
I noticed a card Dawn Burnworth made to honor Leslie Miller (tutorial) as she leaves Flourishes  and  and I decided that would be fun, soooo here it is. This is also in honor of Leslie, a person with super talent.

I got out my Tombow markers, water, watercolor paper, and brush and away I went. I'm using a Flourishes stamp set called A Year in Flowers 2  (May Iris). This is for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Blog Challenge FTTC134. You can use water images, water elements, do watercoloring, water mist, or color wash. Just be sure water is included.

Challenges I'm entering:
Charisma Cardz Challenges #35-Anything Goes
Crafty Boots Challenges #1-Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew-Anything Goes
Stamptacular Sunday #127-The Skys' the Limit (create anything you want)- I did watercoloring for a change...something I haven't done in a while.
Gingerloft Challenge GL 24--Create a Sky

Recipe:
Stamps: Flourishes A Year in Flowers 2
Paper: PTI white and Plum Pudding cardstock, Canson watercolor paper
Ink: StazOn jet black

Great job with water coloring! I've never been brave enough to do a whole card ... very impressive, my friend! Love those irises!

Dang, from shorts to long sleeves and pants in one day. Bring back some heat!

Wow this is stunning!! Love those irises and your water coloring is superb! I have a lot of irises in my garden. Every year I am so happy to see them begin to bloom and so sad to see them go. These will last a lifetime.
Blessings Bernie

This is so pretty and I really should get my Tombows out and use them too! Copics seem to have taken first spot in the coloring field lately, but getting back to our roots always feels good again! Nicely done - love that sky!
Still raining here in PA.......and it's in the forecast until Monday now!! I don't think we've seen the sun in over a week!

GORGEOUS!!! I love to see your watercolor painting, and I've definitely missed it. So good to see you painting again, Benzi. Don't be a stranger!!!! (to your paintbrushes, I mean!!)

Beautiful. I've been a little afraid to use my Tombows for fear of the card running if someone gets a drop of water on it. Do you know if they do or am I being completely unrealistic? Can you recommend a tutorial?

Wowsers, what a fabulous sky! Wish ours looked like that instead of grim and cloudy! Beautiful flowers ... we shifted a lot of plants about our garden last year and I've just realised after seeing your card that our Irises didn't survive it!
