CCEE Stampers Need a Snowman

Does anyone have enough snow to make a snowman this winter? I'm hearing very little about snow and we're certainly having warmer temps this winter. Suits me! I sure wouldn't mind having one big snow, though. How likely is that? Not very here in the deep south, although we had a good one last year. That could very well be it for another 6-7 years. :-(

Shirley challenged the CCEE Stampers this week to make a card with a snowman and add some scallops. I have been wanting to use my Marianne Designs Creatables Decorative Tags that I got for Christmas so this was my chance. I used a snowman stamp set my sister gave me. It is Crafter's Companion-The Snowman. I just love him. I like my snowmen with roundish noses more than carrot noses.

I also wanted to honor a Featured Stamper on SCS  with a cased card. It is Holstein and here is her card. Yes, I know she was FS 1/15. That's how far behind I am.

Hope you'll check out the CCEE Stampers this week and play along with our challenge.

Recipe:
2/03/2012--Edit: For the person asking about this stamp, my sis got it from a UK website. Maybe it was crafting.co.uk
If you will google Crafter's Companion The Snowman stamp set, you will find some sites that have it, ebay included. Hope this helps. I tried to find a way to get in touch and couldn't.

Stamps: Crafter's Companion-The Snowman
Paper: PTI white cardstock, unknown double-sided dp
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Martha Stewart polar stamp and punch, blue pearls, stardust stickles, Marianne Designs Creatables Decorative Tags, scallop punch for sentiment (cut), Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder

Oh my, I LOVE The Snowman. I watch the DVD every year ever since I got it when I used to mind my best friend's kids. Now you've given me a soundtrack for the day, too :D.
That delicate sparkly flake in the bottom corner is totally gorgeous, too.

Not much snow on the West Coast either but this darling snowman is enough for me. :-) Love the die cut, Benzi!

Another awesome die! And that snowman is so handsome. I'd never thought about the noses before, but I think I like the round nose too. It gives him a very debonair look.

I really like the crisp blue and white -- and that wonderful tag on which you mounted your cute snowman.

How adorable, Brenda! I love the tag die and the colors! The snowman is so cute! No snow here - going to be 70 today, I think!

No snow for us, which is normal, but I do feel for those who look forward to it each year and aren't getting it this year. Your card is cute beyond words! LOVE that sweet snowman image, and your die cut frame is just perfect for him.

We've had very little snow here, too, this winter. We get a little snowfall (2-5 inches) and then it warms up, rains, and melts the snow away! Your cute snowman wouldn't survive our winter. Better send him to the Arctic Circle this year, Brenda. I like that fun decorative tag you used and the corner snowflake embellishment. Cute card!

I tried to find "the snowman" stamp at Crafter's Companion but the site said "not found". Could you check your information and maybe give more information on the stamp. I would really appreciate it...loved the book and the movie...and now the stamp!! Thanks!!

Benzi, this is so adorable. I don't think we are getting any snow this year. We will have to settle for pretty paper snowmen like this one. Hugz.

Gorgeous snowman Brenda, and he looks fab in that frame! No snow for us this year either, though its cold and frosty tonight again, wee Ruby's legs were slipping all over the place when we went for a walk!

I got excited to see this snowman, 'cause he's straight from the pages of The Snowman book (can't remember the author, but he's somewhere on my bookshelf). My sister gave that book to me long before I had kids, just to have, and I love it. Thankfully, at least one of my kids loved it too. Haley called him "Mo-man", and she has a stuffed version that is very well loved. :) Thanks for bringing back such nice memories!
