Flower Garden

What a week! I won't even go into it except to say my house is destroyed and won't be the same for weeks. Well, it isn't really destroyed, but I feel that way...work crew is here. Need I say more?

On to the challenge at CCEE Stampers this week. Charlene Merrick, our hostess gave a color challenge:
Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi, and a neutral of your choice. I only had one of those colors and could have substituted but I just decided I would sponge in some colors that were in the family.

I stamped a Rubber Stampede Fern Frond on my base and then stamped my image from Crafty Individuals that I won a while back. It doesn't have a name on the package, just CI-176. I sponged with these colors:
Memento Bamboo Leaves
Memento Danube Blue
Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler
Stampin'Up! Crushed Curry

The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy-Poppies and Greetings

All that was left was to add my black embellishments.

Hope you'll join this week at CCEE Stampers. Check out the rest of the  DT's samples and get out your crafting supplies and go to work. Then, link your creation.  That's it! Have fun.

So beautifully done. I love the sponged image. What a great way to get the colors in there. I like the ferns and dots you added.

I feel your pain with the work crew being there. My house has been torn up for 3 wks. DH is my work crew so it has been slow going. Hang in there, it will all be worth it.

What a cool take on the colour challenge! They scare me, but something like this I could manage. In fact I saw a great CAS card in the gallery a while back that made me realise I could just use little bits of colour and "cheat" that way.
Sorry about your household upheavals - think about the end result and soldier through. So long as you don't have to pack up your craft stuff :D.

Beautiful! Love your sponged BG and gorgeous ferns peeping out behind. You have my sympathies ... I HATE to have workmen in the house, always feel like I have to be doing something out of their way!

What a beautiful silhouetted scene you've got, Benzi. I think I have that same fern stamp from the background, too. Oldie but goodie, bought at a yard sale.

Hey, good luck with the work crew! I sure hate living with a trashed-up house, too.
