CCEE Stamper-Paper Piecing

Funny thing about my card...this week Anne Harmon gave the CCEE Stampers challenge to do paper piecing. I started my card and left it on my craft table for about two weeks before finishing it. By that time, I was thinking the challenge was paper piercing so I did that. I checked the challenge and was safe, though, because I had paper pieced the ornament earlier as I should. Whew!

I stamped my ornament on white and then again on  the same designer paper as I'm using in the background. It had this little girl sledding down a hill. I covered it will glossy accents and added the chain for it to hang.

I crimped a tree that I punched and added a punched star. The rest was easy...turned down a corner of my dp, added a sentiment and some bling, and that's it!

We hope you'll join us this week.

Recipe:
Stamps-Flourishes/All That Glitters (ornament), Sentiment bought at Michael's (no name)

Ink-Memento Tuxedo Black

Oooh! I love that paper! The torn and turned down corner adds extra interest and the crimped tree is fab! It's amazing what crimping can add!

The piercing and distressing on this are great - as well, of course, as the sweet paper-pieced ornament. I too had to read carefully - especially after Charlene had given us the piercing challenge which I first read as piecing.

I've seen others get the paper piecing and paper piercing confused...it's all in that one little 'r', isn't it?? LOL

Beautiful use of the Flourishes ornament (still one of my fave xmas sets), and the crimped tree is so cute! Reminds me of Marisa's coffee cup sleeve maple leaf. ;0)

That was a very good story. I have actually read "piecing" as "piercing" and wound up with the wrong thing on several occasions. I'm glad this time it worked out well for you. I really like your card.

Too funny, Brenda! I'm forever reading piece and pierce wrong. You nailed both of those on this festive card! Great job!
