Peppermint Sticks

CCEE1248
Vicky is giving her last challenge for this month at CCEE Stampers and it is to lace your ribbon (i.e. through a bracket, a piece of lattice work, or cardstock). The metallic holiday ribbon is some I bought last year and don't think I've ever used. I used a ribbon threader punch on my cardstock and wove the ribbon through. Thanks, Vicky, for your month of wonderful challenges.

The image is one I've had from the time I started stamping and don't think I've ever used, but really like it.  It is colored with Copics. I have a piece of Rowe pottery that reminds me of this so I guess I could use mine for this purpose, too. It would really smell good with pretty fir in it.

I love this tiny dot stamp and just added it around the corners for interest. I glittered the stars, used an embossing folder, added a sentiment. It's finished!

I'm entering my card into the challenge at Simon Say Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes

Recipe:
Stamps-Inky Antics P5-4543-3K (no name) bought about 4 yrs. ago, Stamps by Judith (dots), Hot off the Press/Christmas Words (sentiment)
Paper-PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! Night of Navy
Ink-Stampin'Up! Night of Navy
Accessories-Cuttlebug herringbone embossing folder, Martha Stewart glue pen, Copics, Celebrate It! Holiday metallic ribbon, Stampin'Up! Dazzling Diamonds, Martha Stewart ribbon threader punch

Love the way you colored your pottery. And I hope you DO decide to make up your piece of pottery that way. It looks delightful!

Hi Benzi,
Was für ein wunderschones Motiv. Bei uns heißen sie "Krik Stöcke". Du hast alles wieder toll coloriert und das rote Band gibt der Karte den richtigen Pep.
Mir gefällt Deine Arbeit immer wieder sehr gut.
Einen schönen Tag wünscht Dir: Carmen :)

Kudos to you for using ribbon AND a stamp image that you never used! I love the embossed herringbone bg and that sweet dotted image you used. I would've thought it was a part of your main image had I not read your narrative. Beautiful use of ric rac, too, Benz...beautiful card!

What a fun, whimsical image. I like this, it's definitely Christmassy but would work for people in warm/foreign climates.
I must admit my first thought was that it must have been tricky threading the ric-rac - but it certainly looks wonderful.

What a fun way to use ribbon! I love that stamp too - so cute and festive (it would be a good thing for you to do with your pottery too). It is funny how the little dots you put on here do add alot of interest - very smart stuff girl! Roll Tide and lots of hugz!
