CCEE Stampers/CCEE50-one post down-12/13/12
To All My Blogging Pals:

I am going to have to disappear from my my blog for a couple of weeks...maybe more. I have so much going on at my house with the remodeling right now. Bathrooms and kitchen cabinets are now being removed and replaced. Granite will begin coming tomorrow for  some of the cabinets . I thought I started this project so it would be finished in October, but you know how that goes. I'm down to the wire for Christmas. Ugh! I'm trying not to complain and just be thankful we're getting to the end of this ordeal. What a year!!! I don't know if I mentioned but this has been a year of tear down and re-do. This has surely aged me 20 years. LOL

The house is a total wreck. Upon completion, I will have to put everything back in the cabinets. What a chore!  Then, I'll have to scrub the house from top to bottom. Dust is everywhere, as you can imagine. All this as I try to get ready for Christmas....shopping, baking, decorating, on and on. Now, you can understand why I put my Christmas tree up about 3 days before Halloween. I know that sounded a bit overboard but if I hadn't it just wouldn't have gotten up this year.

I've tried to keep up..now I can't. I'll miss visiting your blogs (maybe I can peek in) but won't be able to leave comments for a while.
The only posting I will do is for my CCEE Stampers DT blog and I have those cards already made.

So long for a short time. I'll miss you.

Enjoy the Christmas season.

Benzi

I will miss seeing your beautiful cards! But oh how I can relate to what you are going through. Last year, two weeks before Christmas we totally gutted our bedroom...which meant we slept in our livingroom for three weeks, followed by totally gutting our bathroom, and plastering a total of 5 water damaged ceilings, and putting in five floors, We did all of this one room at a time, because we don't have a finished basement or garage. So I had to totally pack up and unpack 5 rooms, felt like I moved many times. Not to mention endless sawdust, plaster dirt, etc. Trust me it is worth it in the end! I can say this one year later...LOL

Liebe Benzi,

Benz,
Take care of you and your house! Hire an outside cleaner to come in and wash walls, cabinets, floors, etc. -- it really is worth the case. Trust me - they'll come in with a couple of people and have it done in a day or two while you are resting or shopping. Give it to you as a Christmas gift!! Hugs, Kathy

Hang in there Brenda ((HUGS))!! It will all be worth it in the end - honest! Two sets of neighbours on our street did major renos to their homes and felt the same way you did, but are now enjoying their homes to the fullest and so glad they did it. Make sure you have before and after pics to show us!!

Hallo Benzi,

If all of the chaos of remodelling has aged you 20 years, now I know you are probably 35 now~LOL. It will all be worth it when you are done. Get yourself a cattle prod, those workers will get done a lot faster! We all need to do what is important.
Big hugs and love!
Ellen

I so hope time passes quickly for you so that you can get back to card making! I will definitely miss seeing your beautiful cards! We gutted our kitchen and bathroom many years ago. We're all going to miss you and your wonderful inspiration but we truly understand. I went through remodeling 2 years ago so I don't envy you in the least. But afterward -- it will be so wonderful and you'll soon forget all the inconvenience and misery. Hugs, my friend. And "Merry Christmas", in case it takes you that long to get back. :-D

Oh Brenda, I feel so badly for you. I know how it felt to have my house torn up 2 years ago during holiday time. Which, of course, was supposed to be done b/f the holidays! I'll miss you, but you'll be back with a bang I know. Until then, keep sane, keep calm and take care of what you need to at home. We'll all be anxiously awaiting your return my friend!! HUGS!!

Oh my dear Benzi! I am so sorry this project has taken far too long. Having renovated our almost-100 year old house, I COMPLETELY understand the filth that comes along with re-doing walls, etc. And that was when we were almost 20 years younger than we are now! LOL Don't think I'd have quite the stamina to do it all over again at my current age. Bless your hearts, my thoughts are with you. We'll see you whenever you have time to get back! Merry Christmas!

Ohhh you have my sympathies! I hate having workmen in the house, never quite feels like 'my' home! But I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. I look forward to when you're able to get back in your craft room! x

you take a deep breath and enjoy the 'rebirth' of your home....how exciting it will be at Christmas when you truly get to sit back and relax and enjoy your new surroundings.....the process is NEVER pretty....but worth it in the end......don't even give a thought to taking time for yourself...that is what life is for....take a break come back to us when it is right...we will miss your creations, but we will find joy in the fact that it will save your time for things more important right now....hugs

I feel your pain Brenda~hang in there...it will all pull together and be beautiful. I want to see pics when they are all done.
We had a power surge we think and have lost all of our appliance. Just replaced washer and dryer. No money to replace kitch yet...I have been cooking in crock pot and on the grill outside. Any hoot I know the puzzle pieces will come together. Have a blessed Christmas and please upload or send some pics of your new beautiful kitchen and bath~hugz
