CCEE Stampers-Hot Talk

CCEE1306
Joanne Grzelak is our hostess for this last challenge of the month at CCEE Stampers. What a fun one it is! We in the Northern Hemisphere are in the midst of winter, so let's think HOT. Create a card that is 'hot' in temperature, theme, or taste. Could be a sun, a hot pepper, a summer scene, a romance theme...the variations are endless.

For my card, I decided on taste, something HOT that will warm me up when it's cold outside. Although, it has been rather warm where I live. It was 73 here Tuesday. Of course, that brought on a tornado warning in the wee hours (3:00 a.m.) on Wednesday morning.  It is now colder now after the storms. I have small tree limbs all over the front lawn....another job for hubby to collect all that.

I went with a CAS card just cutting my circles, paper piecing my cup, adding some Liquid Applique for the foam, and a sentiment. It's finished quickly.  It does make me want to go get a cup of hot chocolate from the kitchen. Hmmmm

Recipe:
Stamps-Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps/Relax a Bit (sentiment only)
Paper-PTI vintage cream, Stampin'Up! Chocolate Chip and Pool Party cardstock, MME 6 x6 paper pad (Sunshine)
Ink-Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories-Martha Stewart embossed hot chocolate punch, Spellbinders circle and scallop circle nestabilitie

Guten Morgen Benzi,

Cute card. I like how you paper pieced the cup. Sounds like we are having the same weather and hot chocolate today would have been perfect with the wind whipping the cool air around.

Beautiful script/font on that sentiment and the cup is soooo cute. Makes me want to get some hot chocolate too - has to be diet though since I joined Scale Back Alabama -LOL. Wonderful colors on this - wish I had some cups like that. Hugz!

Mmmmmm....a warm mocha latte sounds so delish right now. It's so cold and snowy here. Great CAS card, Benz. I'm glad you're safe from the storms that swept through there the other day.

What a great card to showcase "hot". I love that sentiment too!

This wild weather is keeping me guessing on which coat I need to wear or if I need one at all.

We have tree limbs all over our lawn today, too--plus one of our neighbor's trees that got blown down in the storm and crashed through their fence. It's been a wild ride!! Love this sweet and simple HOT card, Benzi!

Oh, yum!! I haven't had cream on my hot chocolate for years. I used to love it with a little brandy in the cream for an extra treat.
Lots of trees and branches down here too, and warnings to be careful on the road.
