Tulips Are My Favorite

I'm here with a short post today. I made a card for the Queen for the Day #155 on Splitcoaststampers. The Queen is DJRants and she has a super gallery of cards. I was on a Design Team with DJ and saw all her beautiful work each week.

I am doing a case of this card. I knew when I saw the tulips it was the card I wanted to case because they are my favorite flower. I actually was able to use my craft knife to cut the inside part of the flower and that is something I find very hard to do. Got it done and I'm happy! :-) The rest of the cutting of the tulip was done with my scissors.

I'm entering my card into these challenges: 4 Crafty Chicks challenge  #132-Die for Dies
Delicious  Doodles Challenges-(where my friend NanaConnie is a new DT) Use die cuts

I think this is it for me this week. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. If  my sister comes to visit me next week, I will probably be gone most of the week. So, I'll see you all soon.

Liebe Grüße-Carmen

This is gorgeous, Brenda. I think I like your version even better than the original. I love the vibrant red and green against the muted background. If you have a pair of small precision scissors, you can pierce a hole in the middle of the piece to be cut out and then insert your scissors from the back to the front to cut out the piece. That way you can see where you're cutting and you have better control.
