A Fall Birthday

My family that was visiting left yesterday and it is really quiet here. I needed to clean and straighten the house yesterday but put off until today. What did I do today? Make a card instead. Maybe tomorrow I can get on the chores.

Joanna Munster has a video  tutorial here at Inspired by Stamping WHW #114 showing how to prep your new IBS stamp sets.  I have been doing this for a while now except I use a Staedtler eraser and then wash with soap and water. I didn't quite hear what eraser she said she used (on her video) but it does a great job from seeing her tutorial. Oh, and the challenge is Anything Goes...always a fun one.

My card is using an Inspired by Stamping Delicate Doilies II set and a set for the sentiment I love, love...IBS Big Wishes II. Love that font and size.  The rest of my recipe is below.

Also entering my card into these challenges:
Little Red Wagon- #199 -use at least 3 layers on your card. I have three not counting the base.
Pixie's Crafty Workshop-Week 86---My leaves are made from snippets of cardstock

Recipe:
Stamps- (listed above)
Paper-PTI vintage cream cardstock, Stampin'Up! Crushed Curry, and unknown rust cardstock from a scrapbook store
Ink- one of my favorite colors-Memento Potter's Clay
Accessories-Offray Verano Tan ribbon, EK Tools layering punch/Fall leaf, remnants from Martha Stewart Fall leaves edge punch

The leaves in different sizes really put me in the fall mode! I love that earthy burlap tying everything together beautifully! I'm hanging onto the last bits of summer in spite of loving Autumn more than any other season!

Hi Benzi! Welcome to the Snippets Playground, hope you come back and play often - just let me know if any of the girls pull your hair and they'll be sent to the naughty step (it sometimes gets crowded on there!).

I love this card, Autumn is probably my favourite season and you captured it perfectly. Great colours and the leaves are brilliant - love your burlap too.

Hugs, Di xx

My favorite colors are the fall hues, I think. This is beautiful, and loved the maple leaf & gorgeous doily motif. I'll check out that video. Don't think I've ever prepared a stamp before using, and sounds like I should! TFS the link and your wonderful Fall card. Hugs

Oops..just realized I had not been a 'follower' on your blog...how did that happen? I see your posts on so many of the blogs I _do_ follow! I've just taken care of that, and become your newest follower. Thanks for sharing a lovely blog and so many gorgeous cards.

Benzi, just saw your beautiful card over at the Playground. So happy you came over to play with us there. It's loads of fun. (nice prizes too!) Gotta watch for Mrs. A, she is a dead-eye with her water pistol. Now maybe that we have 'baby news' from one of our players, she will forget about spritzing people. Or not! Anyhoo, lots of fun to be had with lovely people. Hugs

What a beautiful fall card. Love that doily stamp and how you did the burlap bow. The leave bouquet is so sweet and the way you did the falling leaves gives it the extra fall feel on this luscious card. Well done.
