Let's Bake Something

A bit different kind of card for me. This week on Splitcoaststamper's CAS challenge #263, the challenge is A Sweet Inspiration, Sweetly Does It-ceramic word décor by Polyvore.

I was inspired to use some of those cute polka dots on my mixing bowl and to make a card that could have a pocket on the inside with a recipe to send someone who loves to bake.

I'm using the Apron & Tools die set from set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I thought I would use designer paper on part of my utensils to replicate the B & K in the  inspiration word.

The letters are from Memory Box/Parker lowercase letters. The recipe card is a recycled one that I've had forever. I just gave it a tear and placed it behind the bowl.

That does it for me today. Hope you're having a great week. I was until the weather turned from 75 degrees yesterday to the high 40's today and tomorrow.  That's March for you, right?

Oh my goodness, what a cute card! I'm donning my make-believe apron and getting ready to bake something now! LOL Very clever and unique card! We're dodging this latest snow storm (hopefully) but we're going from a high near 70 today down into the teens tonight again! LOL It's a never-ending winter story this year isn't it?!

This is delightful (keep in mind it's something you won't see frequently around _our_ house though! I gave it up for Lent. About 40 yrs ago! LOL. Love the way you did the bowl, and your rolling pin. Those fancy utensils are so pretty I might buy 'em just to decorate the kitchen. Really cute, Benzi. Haven't seen this die set (maybe my eye just skipped over it because of the subject!!) We went to Greensboro, NC today. Drove up in the rain, came home in the wind, and temps dropping. In the 40's around 10pm. We're wondering if our garbage dumpster is safe at the curb, but the truck comes in the wee small, so I hope we don't have to gather up spilled garbage if that dumpster takes a hit. TFS & Hugs.

Great card! Benzie, the patterned paper utensils look wonderful! So now that you are inspired enough to create a "baking card", what did you bake? Something yummy? LOL thanks for using so many funny papers together, creating great texture and dimension - something very hard to do on CAS! Wow! hugs, de
