My Heart Sings

Good Morning.....I guess.  Hubby and I worked in the yard again yesterday and I'm pooped. That can be such hard work. I do enjoy it, though. It was a beautiful day and we cleaned out more beds, re-mulched, and went to a plant nursery. I have plants yet to be put into the ground. Now, it is going to be a rainy weekend. I'll rest and do other things.

I'm uploading a card I made a few weeks ago and never got around to putting it on my blog. It is from doing a mixed media challenge on Splitcoaststampers, MIX64. The challenge is to mist, splash, spray, or squirt your project...create puddles if you dare.

I sprayed the bird with Heidi Swapp seafoam color shine. I used a Kite stencil/Endless for the design on the bird. It had Inka Gold Metallic Rub used on the stencil.  I see the colors from the doily are reflecting on the bird design but it really is gold. The doily stencil is by Finnabair picked up at Hobby Lobby. I used Dylusions ink spray in postbox red. I didn't spray it but mixed it with the modeling paste I used and rubbed over the stencil.

Yes, I'm playing again with my photo software and doing a polaroid photo.  I love playing with the software...find it lots of fun.

Recipe:
Stamps-None
Paper-PTI kraft and white cardstock, unknown blue cardstock
Accessories-Dylusions Ink spray/postbox red, Tim Holtz Idea-Ology chit chat pad (sentiment), twine from David Tutera, Spellbinders Shapeabilities/Bird Sanctuary die, Finnabair 6x6 doily stencil, brown pearl, Liquitex modeling paste, Kite stencil/Endless for design on bird, Inka Gold Metallic Rub

So very pretty and love the way you presented the card in the photo frame! I know that it shines with all the mists/sprays and it's so pretty. Really like the addition of the doily on here.
Have fun planting and then watching that wonderful rain fall.

Gorgeous card today and I just love that layered bird! The design on his back is so pretty, and I'm loving the way you did the lettering too! We need to put some plants in this weekend too, but rain may interfere with those plans here in PA too! Enjoy your weekend, rest up, and have a wonderful Mother's day!

I love how you use all the different medias in your cards. This is wonderful. I miss the times my hubby and I would work out in our yard. Here I do have a small place in my back where I garden some. I went over to Hobby Lobby yesterday and wow they are adding lots of new things. Great Card Brenda...Hugs, joann

Just finished looking through your blog at all those pretty cards you have been making and loving them all! Great job with the mixed medias!

I've been absent from the blogging/stamping world. My husbands mother had a house fire and unfortunately she passed away from it. It has been pretty devastating.

Hope you are getting to enjoy this beautiful weather today.

Oooo, I like the Polaroid effect! Is this in GIMP, or did you get different software?

Also, I love when sentiments are done 'ransom-style'. So cool.
