Bells and Pinecones

This feels like the weekend because my hubby started vacation today and will be off through the New Year. We plan an out of town day trip soon and look forward to enjoying each other's company for a while.

My card was made for yesterday's Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge #303. The challenge was Holiday Sparkle. That is why I used the sequins.  It should have been very quick but after several stamping mishaps, it took forever. Can you believe it? Sometimes, nothing goes as should in the craft room. -:)

I didn't have a die for the bells and had to fussy cut them. I colored with Copics. The sentiment and some red sequins were added and that was it...another card ready for mailing.

My card also fit the Fan Club Christmas Challenge/SCSCCNOV14. It was an inspiration piece. You are to be inspired by a wreath, brown and white, or pinecones.

Recipe:
Stamps-MFP Stamp Shop/Seasonal Poinsettias (sentiment), MFP Stamp Shop/New Pines, Inspired by Stamping/Elegant Christmas (bells)
Paper-PTI white cardstock, SU Chocolate Chip
Ink-Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories-Red sequins, Copics R35-R37-R39 (berries), Y23-Y28 (bells), E70 (pinecones), YG61-YG63 (fir and holly), B00-B000 (bow)

Your bells just pop against your rustic pinecones Benzi. I love the look. Stunning. I know about mishaps.

I would see you did a very nice fussy cut job. Great coloring too. The pine sprigs and cones look very real, at least in the photograph. LOL. Just had to come back before Christmas and wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. - Jim

I'm loving the pine cone stamp Brenda, and the different cards you have made with it.This one is so elegant and the red berries and sequins really pop!
I hope you are feeling a bit better and that the Christmas Spirit had made a late appearance. The winter blahs can be a real nuisance but they usually visit me towards the end of January so I get to enjoy Christmas. All the rushing and stresses of holiday preparation don't help but you are in my thoughts and I am sending big Christmas hugs.

Your card is stunning, Brenda! I thought it was professionally made and I got a kick out of the fact that you cut your own bells. Goodness, how quickly we all got hooked on dies, huh? It doesn't seem THAT long ago that we did everything with our skizzers! I wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year! Enjoy your time with DH over the holiday!! Hugs, Darnell

Love love LOVE this card, Miss Benzi! I have to have the pine bough. Have gone over to MFP and am checking with a friend to see how difficult their clear stamps are to pull from the backing. Many brands, I have to give away because it hurts my fingers to try to pry the stamps away from the backing. The coloring on your pine branch is fabulous! Was it difficult? Your shading in the bells is fab, too!

Yes, sometimes I have those flubbery days in my craft room, too! It's just the way it is, right? Merry Christmas, Benzi! love, de

Somehow I missed seeing this, but I am certainly enjoying it just now! Love these golden bells, how festive. They also remind me of an old hymn we used to sing "When they ring those Golden Bells - for you & Me!". Hope you are off having some fun, and will be seein' ya when you get back. Congrats for being a winner on the Blog Candy too. Hugs
