Joy and Happiness

I'm not keeping up very well with visits these days. Are you as stressed and blah as I am? I certainly hope not. I need a lot of pep and cheer as Christmas is my favorite time. Where is my Christmas spirit???? I'm looking for it and maybe it will arrive soon. Goodness, I haven't even made one snowman card this season and they are my favorite.

My card was made for two challenges: The monthly Fan Club Christmas Spirit challenge on Splitcoaststampers and the Sketch Challenge/SC518. The Christmas Spirit challenge is an inspiration picture of a pine cone wreath. You were to be inspired by the pine cones, brown and white, or the wreath.

I stamped the pinecones on Kraft paper using a stamp from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps/New Pines. The sentiment is from the same company/Greetings of the Season (retired, I believe). My image on the small top panel is from Prickley Pear/Pinecone. A couple of the pinecones were popped up. I added dots for interest from Stamps by Judith. The panel was sponged with Tim Holtz Stormy Sky Distress Ink and Stampin'Up! Apricot Appeal.

I added a red grosgrain ribbon from Offray and that finished it.

This is a lovely card, very nicely done, but I am still waiting to see snowman cards from you. I haven't done any either, we are both slacking. Shame on us, but there is still time to do winter cards with snowmen, so let's get going, the two of us. LOL Enjoy your weekend.

Liebe Brenda,
eine wunderschöne Karte. Die Tannenzapfen gefallen mir sehr gut, sie harmonieren wunderbar mit den Hintergrundpapieren.
Ich wünsche dir einen schönen 3 Advent.
Liebe Grüße, Anja

Although I'm ahead of the game, I don't have any real Christmas spirit this year either. But your card is beautiful in spite of your lack of that holiday zest. I love those pretty pinecones! Have a great weekend!

Brenda, I think we're all feeling just like you with the Christmas spirit lacking! You have all next year to make snowman cards though so I wouldn't worry about that.
LOVE this one! Those pine cones are so pretty and love the way you have the sentiment as the focal point.

I love this beautiful, rustic scene, Benzi! So pretty stamped on the kraft! Hope you find that Christmas spirit hiding around the next corner. Sometimes mine hides too.

Feeling a little stressed because there's so much to do for Christmas preparations! And, my assistant hasn't shown up yet...lol! But, hope to get some more of it done today. I guess just chipping away here and there will help!:-) Your Christmas card is very lovely with the pine cones and boughs! You take good care, hugs!:-)

So beautiful! Stunning card! I know just how you feel...I'm the same way right now. I'm so far behind with everything with Christmas and trying to find the Christmas spirit. I do have a lot to be thankful for this Christmas so I know it will come...
