A Bird, Christmas, and a Jumbo Tiger Lily

I'm going to finish up my posts that got left out while I was away. I have three today and then I'll be back to posting as I make my cards.

This card was for CAS305 on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to welcome the new year.
I almost never make new year's card and this is a bit different from the usual new year's card. I did add a star at the bottom for fireworks....hmmmm........

I colored with Copics, added a shadow, and some snow made with my DecoArt snow writer.

Recipe:
Stamps-Penny Black/Winter Perch, Stamps by Judith/AA-02-Solid Star
Paper-PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! chocolate chip
Accessories- DecoArt snow writer, Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A & B-(B for sentiment die), Copics, Stamps by Judith/AA-02 Solid Star

My next card is a Christmas card made for the January Christmas Fan Club Challenge/SCSCCJan15.

I colored  the image with my markers and then colored the trees in a bit with green, used my DecoArt snow writer for snow and added some glitter.

Recipe:
Stamps-Impression Obsession/Winter Scene 1, Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps/Ice and Snow (Sentiment)
Paper-PTI white cardstock
Ink-Memento Bamboo Leaves, Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler
Accessories-DecoArt snow writer, Star Dust Stickles, Spellbinders Card Creator, Copics, Stampin'Up! Dazzling Diamonds

And, my last card is using a Jumbo Tiger Lily. It was made for Splitcoaststampers TLC518 challenge (try a new technique) and WT516-use beads.  The new technique was to stamp your image in white ink on white cardstock, then emboss and color. That was really fun and I'll probably do that again.

I did cut off the stem from my stamp because the image was too large for my 5 x 5 card if I used it.

Recipe:
Stamps-Stampendous/Jumbo Tiger Lily, JustRite/Just the Right Words
Paper-Bazzill white cardstock
Ink-white
Accessories-pink sequin, Copics, beads from bridal dept.
I'm sorry for the long post but I'll be back to normal posting now. My next post will be a valentine.

All Great cards...really like your cute birdie, and I like how you did the Tiger Lily card! I have that stamp and you have so inspired me to get it out again.
I learn so much from visiting your blog...I would have never thought to not use the stem on the Tiger Lily. You are so right, it does make the image so much larger that you need to use a larger card foundation. I so like your idea...thanks for sharing.

Three great cards. The coloring on your bird is just lovely, and vibrant. Your Winter wonderland card is very cozy looking with the snow covered cabin snuggled among the trees. That jumbo Tiger Lily is simply gorgeous as is the sentiment. Hey- your newest package should be arriving anytime soon, seeing as how you have trouble producing your own snow. LOL Enjoy the day.

You are definitely back with a Blast! Each one of these beautiful cards is a treasure (OK, gotta admit #1 is my fav!), but love the different techniques on each card. #3 is just stunning in that gleaming hot pink on the flower, and this sounds like a fun trick to try. Of course I loved #2 with the pretty winter scene. You are rocking it, girl! TFS & Hugs (and yes it was delightful to meet up with Sheila..she's a very lovely person and so was her friend).

Absolutely stunning, each and every card! I love your attention to detail - the bird and flower are gorgeously colored to look so lifelike! The colors just burst off the screen :) I love the winter scene, too - being in Miami, I long for a view like that outside my window each winter :)

Hello Benzi!! It's so good to see you. I feel like it's been a while. :)

I was reading your bio/profile on the sidebar and really like the introduction about being a Christian girl. Had that always been there, or did you add that recently? I like it. :)

Your cards are bee-autiful, my friend. The wintry scene is so frosty, and that giant flower is so WOW! I just knew it had to be a Stampendous flower. ;)
