Mixed Media Love

I'm glad to be here posting today. I was so sick Thursday night and felt bad yesterday. I'm not sure, but think I may have had food poisoning when I went out to eat. It could have been a virus. I don't think I have ever been as sick. Anyway, that is over and I feel good today.

This was for a challenge on Splitcoaststampers---Mix106-I Heart Colors-Use lots of color in a love themed project

I added a cork heart and some small hearts to go with the two large hearts and did a bit of distressing.

I lost my stencil and can't remember the name of it. Do you lose things in your craft room? I bet you do. :-)  I used embossing paste with the stencils. I cut up little scraps of paper to glue over the smaller heart just for a mixed media look.

This card will go to my hubby since it doesn't have a lot of pink. I don't know what he will think of all the mixed media business going on. :-)

I hope everyone has a very sweet Valentine's Day and a great weekend.

Recipe
Stamps- Hero Arts/Valentine Flourishes set (sentiment only), Stamps by Judith/bold modern heart
Paper-PTI white cardstock, watercolor paper, SU Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry
Ink-Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories-Sizzix Bigz die/Hearts, Primitive, Little Yellow Bicycle/cork hearts, Darice embossing folder/Henna, Americana acrylic paint/Margarita, snow (white) titanium, and Georgia Clay, stencil

I'm so glad you're feeling better Brenda! Nothing worse than food poisoning either. You feel like you're going to die. At least you're on the road to recovery now.
Love your card! The cork heart among all those beautiful colors is perfect. A sensational card!
As far as losing things - all the time!

I'm so sorry to hear you were feeling ill. As Lynn said with food poison you feel like you are going to die and afraid you won't. So glad that passed for you and you can be happy on this Valentine's day. I'm thinking your hubby will love this card even with all the mixed media going on. How could he not? I like those little pieces you added to your smaller heart, nice idea. Enjoy your weekend.

What a wonderful card for heart day! Gotta love that little cork heart accent with all those brilliant colors! So sorry about the food poisoning - that seems to happen more often these days to so many folks who dine out! I'm glad you bounced back in a relatively short time though, and I hope you enjoyed a great Valentine's day!

I am so sorry to hear that you were sick. I do pray you get and stay better.
I love this card, it is gorgeous. And yes, I am organized, but I have still lost things, I know I put it right there. Once I lost a stamp, I found it 3 months later, where?? in the freezer under the ice tray. I had washed the stamp and laid it on the counter, must not have seen it when I was filling up the ice trays and it got stuck on the bottom.. :)

Beautiful colors Brenda and I think your hubby will love it. Sorry you are sick, I have been so sick today and was wondering if it was something I ate yesterday. May it is a stomach virus. Glad you are better. Hugs, jonn

It is just fabulous, and I love the brilliance of all the colors you chose. That red embossed heart just shines, and I am really liking that emboss pattern. TFS & glad you are feeling better. Hugs
