Filigree Wedding

First, I have to say I was disappointed with this photo. It looked better on Splitcoaststampers when I uploaded it this morning. I went back and tweaked it some in Picasa but still don't like it so much. The lighting is off and the size, also. This is as large as it would get on Blogger.

I worked so hard on this card. I found this tutorial at Flowers, Ribbons, and Pearls. I love everything she does and she has wonderful tutorials. Instead of explaining how I did this card, I will let you look at her tutorial. I did have to order this corner die to make it. You need a die that doesn't cut out all the way around. I had a corner die but it didn't want to work.  This is Heartfelt Creations Decorative Blossom Corner die set. I finished the back as she did but I didn't use the curved dies on mine.

This card fits two challenges on Splitcoaststampers: Free 4 All-Flower Power and the Fan Club central theme: The Keys to Happiness-Things that make you happy. Weddings and love make me happy.

I did have a bit of a hard time making it and took a while. But, I'm hoping if I do it again it will be easier. I think it makes a beautiful wedding card.

I want to wish all my fellow bloggers a very Happy Easter.

I'll be around to your blogs as soon as possible. Hubby is off work today and tomorrow we are visiting our grandchildren. Then, off again on another trip Sunday.

Recipe:
Stamps-Inspired by Stamping/Arrows set (sentiment), Stamps by Judith/Dot (for leaves)
Paper-PTI white cardstock
Ink-Memento Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves
Accessories-Heartfelt Creations/Decorative Blossom Corner die set, Spellbinders Nestabilities/Stately Circles die set, Anna Griffin embossing folder/Poppy, Recollections/flowers, Bridal embellishments from Hobby Lobby, Susan's Garden/leaves from lily flower, white and blue pearls

Wow. This is drop.dead.gorgeous, Benzi!

It can be so disappointing when the lighting of a photo doesn't work as you wish it would. I experience that regularly.

Happy Easter to you as well! Rejoice, and be glad. :)

This is something extra-ordinary. A work of Art in my book. Just gorgeous, Brenda. A very artful use of a corner die. If I was a bride and received this card I would have it framed and hang it in my home where everyone could share in it's beauty. I do wish you a very nice Easter weekend. Travel safe.

It's fantastically beautiful - for ANY occasion. Stunning in the white, and that lacy die is just so pretty. Hope it cut smoothly - and released that way too. This is a design I've not seen, so TFS the tutorial. The 'bridal bouquet' is lovely with this card. The photo looks just fine to me. It's bloomin' gorgeous!!! Happy Easter, TFS & Hugs

Oh wowee, this is an absolute stunner Benzi! Love the filigree panel and pretty flowers.
Sorry, can't help with your photography, mine are usually ropey at the best of times, and worse when I've got a white based card ;)
Have a fun time with the munchkins and Happy Easter xx

Exquisite card! This looks like one that I wouldn't be able to send off. It would be a masterpiece on my shelf in the craft room. I'm off to check out the tutorial.

Don't know when I'll be able to blog again. My computer died and now I only have my iPad. My camera doesn't hook up to it.

Hope you had a good Easter with your family.

Wow! Benzi, this is fabulous - thank you for providing the SCS link as well as Christina's so I could check out all the photos. It's so strange how some of the photos react differently in the various upload engines. I remember when Christina first showed something like this, and I was so intimidated. The recipient of your card will be deeply touched by its beauty, and I know how much love went into creating your masterpiece! love, de
