Good Fortune Cricket

Today is the beginning of a new challenge week for the StampinB . Vicki Dutcher gave the challenge to make a birthday card. I have this cute A Muse stamp called grasshopper. I think of it as a cricket because they are closely related. You know, in some countries, the cricket is known to bring good fortune and I guess that is why I have a cricket paper weight on my desk.
But, in one country, it is said that if the cricket is chirping constantly, it foretells pregnancy (maybe I should throw mine away) LOL. But, if the cricket quits chirping, money is expected.
(O.K., I'll keep mine).
This card is also entered into Caardvarks July birthday challenge.

Stamps: Hero Arts-Fanciful Leaf Filament, A Muse-grasshopper, Sentiment is computer generated
Paper: Making Memories scrapbook pad- Be Inspired, SU Always Artichoke
Mark Richards gold metal brads
Ribbon FX
Tombow markers
StazOn ink-Olive Green
corner rounder

This is darling, Benzi :D Love the image and that little cricket at the top is too cute! Great card. Think I'll have to get myself a cricket so I can afford all the goodies I want LOL!

I love your musings about the cricket! Too funny! He looks so cute perched atop those pretty branches too! I love the DP and ribbon and especially your great new avatar! I need to get a pic of myself soon! As much as I love my favorite nascar driver, I'm tired of seeing that big ole #14 over on SCS! LOL

Well, hello Benzalina! Your new blog is a beatuiful soothing blue. Your avatar is gorgeous, as are your cards. I am sure your blog will be a great success! I will stick my self in your follower section. I must admit, I'm a much better follower if the blog update just comes in my email!

Such a wonderful card and I love the cricket story! No money is coming my way, those crickets are going crazy outside (maybe along with pregnancy they can detect when 2 Granddaughters are visiting??) Awesome challenge you gals put on, it sure was fun!

I'm not sure why Benz, but this is one of my fave cards of yours. It's just so crisp, clean and perfect and has a wonderful sentiment. Now, keep on collecting that $ for every missed chirp and send it to me!! Hugz!
