Flourishes Flowers

Flourishes Timeless Tuesdays challenge calls for flowers on your card or project. Well, guess what? We are expecting snow any time now...not pretty pansies as I have used. Yes, we are all excited and hoping the snow doesn't miss us because we just don't get much of the white stuff. I have chili fixins' and hot chocolate and all the warm foods and drinks ready.

I'm trying my hand with Copics. I usually do watercoloring with a brush but decided to give this a try.
I think I am going to enjoy them and will try to practice and watch tutorials so I can get better and better.

My card is to honor Julie aka UKJEM on Splitcoaststampers. She has a beautiful gallery of cards and I chose to case this one. Mine certainly has more color than hers but I did mostly keep her sketch.

My card is also for:

This is gorgeous!! Those flowers are just popping with that burst of red color! Love the crinkled ribbon/bow too! Beautifully done!
I too am just learning how to use the Copics, and I learned that the paper you use makes all the difference in the world with blending colors!
We're supposed to get heavy snow late tomorrow, so I'll be heading to the store in the morning to get my milk & bread. No wait! I have milk & bread already! LOL I'll go to the craft store instead and buy something with my 50% off coupon and stay indoors and stamp :) Stay warm!!

This is so beautiful. Great combination of flower power pizzaz and the neutral scrunchy ribbon. The ribbon texture and the mental texture of the poppies - much the same - great compliment to one another.

Fab card Benzi, love your ribbon flourish and great job with your pansies ... but be warned, copics are VERY addictive and you NEVER have enough LOL!

A lovely CASE of Julie's card, Benzi. And you're doing beautifully with your Copic coloring! They really do require practice, don't they? When I drag mine out, I am still a little stymied about where to put certain colors.
