No Card-Just Snow and Birds

I have a couple of pictures I wanted to share with you. Yes, we had snow in the Southern U.S. this week and it is just beautiful. Not having much around here, we really get excited when it does come. I measured an area in my front yard and it was 10 1/2". My hubby measured a chaise lounge on the patio and there was 8" on top of it. Now, this is not the biggest snow I've seen...16" is the most I've ever seen.

My neighbor is away on a cruise...lucky her, although she is a bit sad she is missing the snow. I am pet sitting for her and took this picture in her back yard. The crape myrtle was just full of cardinals and other birds. She has several bird feeders beside this tree so this was a stopping off place to rest while other birds ate.

O.K., that's it...won't bore all of you people who have more snow every year than you know what to do with. I'm sure it would get old after a while. Now, I'm ready for Spring and hot summer. Bring it on!! LOL

How beautiful, Benzi!! There is nothing prettier in winter than a bright red cardinal against fresh snow. I'm so glad you are enjoying your snowy treat. We're going to get some tomorrow. They are saying 12 to 16 inches--how exciting! We'll see what happens. :)

If I was fortunate enough to take photos like this, they'd be on my Christmas cards next year! They're fabulous Brenda!! Those brilliant red cardinals against the snow is an amazing sight to behold! TFS!! What you already got is about to start falling here - they're calling for anywhere from 3 to 12" plus, so I'll be housebound for a while and hopefully won't lose power!

Beautiful pictures! I am with you, pretty to look at but I'm ready to have spring hit us now. We spent today shoveling the driveway so we could get out if there was an emergency. Stay safe and warm!

Wow, that IS a lot of snow for the South. You must've been soooooo happy taking these pics, 'cause I know how much you like birds. They look just like a postcard sitting so brightly in those snow covered trees.

Brenda, these pictures are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love cardinals, and I have never seen so many in one tree! How awesome to get such a wonderful rare photo with so much snow down south by you! This is a good reminder to get my feeders filled up!

It's beautiful Brenda. So that's where all the birds are. I wondered where they had gone. So it is true, they do fly South in winter...duh! LOL

Thanks for sharing the pics and it was everything but boring now. :) Peggyxo
