Flourishes Timeless Tuesday--Guest Designer

I was so excited over Easter weekend because Tammy Hershberger and the talented team at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday  blog challenge  asked me to be Guest Designer for the month of May. I have been so anxious for the time to come when I could do my first challenge. Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity.
I had the privilege last summer, while in Pensacola,  to visit Jan Marie Caruso at her stamping boutique and make a few purchases from her awesome, stamp inventory. What a treat to meet her and to shop!!

Makiko Jones is hostess this week  for the FTTC116 and gave the challenge to create a card for a child under age 13. This is the only Flourishes image I have for that age bracket but I am sure I know an 11 yr. old that would just love this carousel card. As you can see, I made it for a girl. The image is Enjoy the Ride.
The sentiment for the inside-'Dream Big' from the same set.

For my card, I stamped my image on a Spellbinders Labels 3 die, colored the image with Copics, and used a Swiss Dots embossing folder on my Martha Stewart cardstock. The designer paper is a scrap piece with an unknown name. The three layers of punches are made with a Martha Stewart lace heart edger punch. Added a dimensional hydrangea sticker from MS and a deep rose ribbon. The large, pink gemstone is placed at the top of the carousel pole and I added some thin strips of purple, yellow, turquoise,  and pink cardstock to look as if ribbons are flying around the pole.

Thanks for visiting today. Hope you'll join this challenge and be sure to check the rules. Don't forget to visit the team's  blogs and leave a comment.

Congrats to you! This card is perfect for that special girl ... adorable, fun and so pretty!

Still no school for the children. We have kept our power on but my hubby's office still has no power. He works by Bridge Street (if you know where that is).

Da Benz has made it to the "big times"!!! Congrats for being Flourishes GD for the month. I am so proud of you and hope you don't forget about lil' ole Fruitcake. Your card is amazing and totally appealing to a girl that's for sure. There's just something about carousels. LOVE your ef, nesties, beautiful flower treatment and, of course, the awesome image. You did REAL GOOD for your 1st in a series of cards for Flourishes!! Way 2 go! You know I already had this zecret in my zecret blog, but I didn't blabber it - SHOCKER!

Huge Hi5's Benzi!! That's an honor you truly deserve, and it shows with this adorable card! The image is so cute and I love how you added the strips of color at the top! Some lucky little girl is going to love getting this card! When I was a kid, my parents would put me on the merry-go-round and they had to drag me off eventually! I loved sitting on those pretty horses going round and round! LOL
