Vintage Santa

I think it is time to bring out my Father Christmas stamp and start using him for the holidays. I did him in blue last year...here.......so I decided to do something different and go vintage this year.

He is colored with Copics. I added some water color paint for the falling snow and Star Dust Stickles on the fur. He is so sparkly in real life. I cut my cardstock for snow where he is standing. The brown cardstock has been distressed using the edge of my scissors, as has the designer paper on top. I stamped some trees on the bottom piece of designer paper.

I am joining the Merry Monday challenge #81--Use Santa on your card.

What a gorgeous stamp! Your coloring is divine. I love the depth you added with the different tones and the sparkle on the trim of his coat. Such a rich and lux card!

I chk'd out the blue one, and I think it's wonderful...just a different tone from this so rich looking one. Maybe the difference between a soft silk & a rich velvet, if that makes sense to say. This is most beautiful, and it makes me want to reach out to stroke the robe. Really beautiful in your coloring and liked your snow idea too. TFS & hugs

Wow I don't know which one I like better this years or last years. both are stunning. I'm so glad you brought out this fabulous stamp. I love everything about this card. I does look like it had been around the world and still managed to stay perfect. Coloring on both versions is tremendous.

Benzi, you did a wonderful job of ornamenting this santa! He looks like he stepped out of an old storybook. Can't believe how different he is from the blue! And it's the same stamp! Beautiful!

Love this vintage Santa Benz and it was fun to see how you did him last year too - I think I am going to take one of the images I used last year and do this too! The vintage one is my fav. Great gold colors and the stickles and "snow" are perfect touches as are the cool postcard/letter paper you used in the bg. Love the card. Hugz!
