Peony and Snow

I have a couple of cards that I'm showing today. I've made several cards for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges on Splitcoaststampers. These are challenges for Fan Club members only and so much fun with wonderful prizes to be given away. You should go over and join if you're not already a member.

The first card is a handmade peony. I used a Susan's Garden/Susan Tierney-Cockburn die. It was so much fun. I've really gotten into making flowers. The background is stamped with an image from Deep Red/Houndstooth.  My card is for challenges given by whippetgirl and ~Fee~.

The next card is for a challenge given by UnderstandBlue.

This was a really fun card to make. For the snow, I used white mulberry paper cut with a Taylored Expression die/Build A Scene-Rolling Hills. The stamps are A Muse Artstamps/Birch Forest with Leaves and Stamps by Judith/dots. The falling snow is made with Winsor and Newton profession water colour in Chinese White. This is in a tube. An Impression Obsession die cut set was used for the birds/Birch Tree set. The circle was made with a circle punch and cut in half. The water is made with Tim Holtz Distress Paint/Broken China.

That's it for today. See you soon.

These are both gorgeous cards, but that flower on the first is phenomenal! Oh my goodness, all those pretty petals look amazing, and the houndstooth background is a great compliment to the look! I love the reflection on the 2nd with those tiny red cardinals against the night sky too! Well done dirty work :)

Two more pretties, but 'spect you know which is my fav! I have a couple of those flower dies, but haven't tried them yet. I wish I could make flowers as pretty as you did on this one. The peach & b&w houndstooth - very sophisticated palette. On #3, Love the reflections of the trees in the water, your snow mounding and even the little bits for the redbirds to nibble. Such exquisite detail. Yummy. TFS & Happy wkend

First of all, what a peony! Wow! It's really gorgeous, and you made it, which makes it even better. :) Love the houndstooth paired with it (and I know you do too! ;)

That snowy scene is wonderful, Benzi. I've always loved the look of mirrored stamping, but could never quite get it right myself. You did a great job on this. The birds eating bits of bird food = genius!
