Three Fir Trees

Here I am again with another DTGD challenge card. This is for DTGD14UnderstandBlue and DTGD14kittie747 challenges. Of course, I can't tell you what the challenges are because it is for Fan Club members only. This is over on Splitcoaststampers. It would be great if you would join this fun place, that is, if you're not already a member.

I wanted to get at least one Christmas card made during these challenges so I did this one. Now, I know some of you may not like these colors for Christmas (and I understand) but I sometimes like to do non traditional colors.

As you can see, I cut out a window for my sentiment and added the trees, ribbon, and star. Finished!
I'm entering my card in this challenge: Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge-Anything Goes with non-traditional colors

Here's my recipe:
Stamps-Inspired by Stamping/Elegant Christmas
Paper-PTI white cardstock, Bazzill Paper Basics/Licorice Twist, unknown gray cardstock
Ink-Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories-Impression Obsession Fir Trees set, black and white gingham ribbon, EK Success Paper Shapers star punch, Spellbinders rectangle die

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

I think it's a stunning Christmas card! I think just the red and green cards are not the only Christmas cards you see anymore...And I think that's a nice change.

You are really getting a lot of nice cards done for those challenges. I was only a fan club member for a short time. I tried those challenges...and I think I only managed to get three cards done. (I told you I'm a slow card maker!) Keep up the great work.

I really like the colors of this great Christmas card! The trees perfectly frame the sentiment, but it's that gingham ribbon and wonky star that lend a perfect finishing touch! This is beautiful!!!

I will admit I'm a sucker for the traditional Christmas colors. BUT I also like the non-traditional ones too. And this one is so very pretty in the bold black & white. Anything with trees, gingham checks & stars, is a beauty! Love the shadow box effect you have going on with the sentiment and the tree trio at the lower left. This is a marvelous design and use of color. Well done! TFS & Hugs

This is so stylish Brenda and I love your black and white card. Those tree silhouettes really pop off the card! Have you thought of entering it into the Holly Jolly Christmas Card Challenge which is non traditional colours this time?

As you know I am somewhat of a traditional non-traditionalist. LOL. When you you figure that one out let me know. I take it to mean rebel. I think this card is grand. A midnight Christmas out in nowhere land. No lights with only the stars. Nice going Benzi. - Jim

Love that big star hanging above the fir trees, and the ribbon pattern gives it a country feel. The monochromatic look is one of my faves for Christmas cards. :)
