I'm sure most of you are aware it is Groundhog Day. I sure hope Punxsutawney Phil doesn't see his shadow so warmer temps and Spring will be coming sooner. :-)
I'm still trying to catch up on my posts from when I got behind. I so enjoyed making this card and made three. I rarely make multiples but I was having fun with the snowbanks. Besides this one, I needed a couple of birthday cards. With each one the snow looked different. You just need some curved paper and sponge just above it. It took some practice for me but I am pleased. Hope to get
better each time I try. The trees were hand cut and I used a snow marker for the falling snow. My card was cased from this card: http://craftinginthecountry.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-simple-christmas-at-st-lukes.html
Isn't her card beautiful?

Wonderful cards, Brenda. Your wintry scene is so peaceful and your snow banks turned out great.
Wow, your snow looks just about as real as these in my yard right now. Here you go again costing me money. I'd never heard of a Marvy Snow Maker Sponge, I'll have to look that up and buy it. LOL Seriously two beautiful cards. Beautiful coloring on your poinsettia and I would have never known you missed dotting the "i". Besides there is a dot there. It is from the paper but it is still a dot, so no worries. I'll have another package of snow sent out to you as soon as I can get out to mail it.
Have a fun day.
I love the technique you used to create the snowy hills on the first card! Great coloring and dies on the poinsettia card too! TFS a great duo of cards, and congrats to MiamiKel too!!
Awesome cards Brenda!! I love love the way you did the snow of the first, really looks so real and the dark background sky really makes it pop!! The poinsettia is Gorgeous you really did a fab job coloring it :)
Both of these are lovely, Benzi! Love your snow banks and how you cut the trees. Great papers. The poinsettia is gorgeous and I love the die you chose for cutting the image. One of my favorites.
Wonderful curved snowbanks, I will have to try this technique. The shading is wonderful and what fun trees. Gorgeous poinsettia color, framing and paper.
Hugs Diane

Adore that first one! Fabulous snow banks and the pop of colour with the trees is perfect! Lovely frame around the poinsettias.
These are both so beautiful, love the winter scene you created, fabulous.
I love the bright colours of the trees against the snowy background.
WOW!!! I love that first card and those beautiful snow banks. Pure perfection in a card and so beautiful! The second one is equally as pretty! Beautiful poinsettia and framed out so lovely. I think the polka dot in the paper makes a great dot for the "i"!

Wow! You're back with some super looking cards. Now I'm partial to poinsettias, and this one is just so lovely. But the trio of trees on those beautiful snowbanks is a real WOW too. Love your snowflakes, and you've got some awesome shadows going on the snow dunes. Love the dp trees -Love the touch of pink berries with that blaze of red on the poinsettias. Good color combo. TFS & Hugs (and GH saw his shadow round here today - so 6 more wks).

Oh my goodness, what a surprise! I'm humbled and honored to have been chosen (thank you, hubby!) I'm sorry I just now saw this - my daughter has been gravely ill and I'm barely back into the swing of things - so glad I was able to peek today so I did not miss these two STUNNING cards!
The first one is just breathtaking with the wonderful (and whimisical) scene you've created and the beauty of the second, you have such a flair for card designing!
Thank you again - will search for your email and send a note :) Thank you again!
