Calm and Wintry, Poinsettia, and a Winner

I'm sure most of you are aware it is Groundhog Day. I sure hope Punxsutawney Phil doesn't see his shadow so warmer temps and Spring will be coming sooner. :-)

I'm still trying to catch up on my posts from when I got behind. I so enjoyed making this card and made three. I rarely make multiples but I was having fun with the snowbanks. Besides this one, I needed a couple of birthday cards. With each one the snow looked different. You just need some curved paper and sponge just above it. It took some practice for me but I am pleased.  Hope to get
better each time I try. The trees were hand cut and I used a snow marker for the falling snow. My card was cased from this card: http://craftinginthecountry.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-simple-christmas-at-st-lukes.html
Isn't her card beautiful?

This card was entered into a Splitcoaststampers challenge:CT1214. That is the Fan Club central theme for the month-Calm, Cool, and Collected.

Recipe:
Stamps-Inkadinkado Flower Garden set (sentiment)
Paper-PTI white cs, SU Night of Navy cs, PTI/Bitty Dot Basics, Graphic 45/By the Sea Collection/ EK Tools/Assorted wood sheets
Ink-Stampin'Up!-Night of Navy
Accessories-Marvy snow marker, sponge, Taylored Expressions Build a Scene Rolling Hills die, Spellbinders card creator-Matting Basics B

My next card is using a Power Poppy Poinsettia set.
Did you notice something here? I left off the dots for the letter 'i' in my sentiment. I am quite sure I went back and added them before mailing....sure hope so. This card was made for a Splitcoaststampers challenge: QFTD239

Recipe:
Stamps-Power Poppy Poinsettia (not including sentiment)
Paper- PTI white cardstock, Bazzill peanut cluster, World Win spring green dp, Core'dinations light green small dot
Ink-Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories-Stickles/yellow, Copics, Spellbinders long classic scalloped rectangle die, Tim Holtz/Holiday Words die
Now, down to the business of choosing the winner of my Garden Weave die from the January 28  post. My hubby chose (without looking, of course) a name from the commenters. It is .............................................
MiamiKel, one of my faithful followers. Good for you, Kelly. If you will send me an email from the address I have listed under my profile, I will get this in the mail for you. Enjoy!

Wow, your snow looks just about as real as these in my yard right now. Here you go again costing me money. I'd never heard of a Marvy Snow Maker Sponge, I'll have to look that up and buy it. LOL Seriously two beautiful cards. Beautiful coloring on your poinsettia and I would have never known you missed dotting the "i". Besides there is a dot there. It is from the paper but it is still a dot, so no worries. I'll have another package of snow sent out to you as soon as I can get out to mail it.
Have a fun day.

WOW!!! I love that first card and those beautiful snow banks. Pure perfection in a card and so beautiful! The second one is equally as pretty! Beautiful poinsettia and framed out so lovely. I think the polka dot in the paper makes a great dot for the "i"!

Wow! You're back with some super looking cards. Now I'm partial to poinsettias, and this one is just so lovely. But the trio of trees on those beautiful snowbanks is a real WOW too. Love your snowflakes, and you've got some awesome shadows going on the snow dunes. Love the dp trees -Love the touch of pink berries with that blaze of red on the poinsettias. Good color combo. TFS & Hugs (and GH saw his shadow round here today - so 6 more wks).

Oh my goodness, what a surprise! I'm humbled and honored to have been chosen (thank you, hubby!) I'm sorry I just now saw this - my daughter has been gravely ill and I'm barely back into the swing of things - so glad I was able to peek today so I did not miss these two STUNNING cards!
The first one is just breathtaking with the wonderful (and whimisical) scene you've created and the beauty of the second, you have such a flair for card designing!
Thank you again - will search for your email and send a note :) Thank you again!
Blessings! ♥
