Having a RRRUFF Day?
The Stampin B challenge #70 this week is all about the 'dog days of August'. How appropriate! Hot and humid is the word. Joanne aka jojot, the hostess this week, gave the challenge to make a card with a dog. Well, that was fun because it is something I rarely do. Hope you'll check out the cute cards the DT made this week and join us. http://stampinbdesignteam.blogspot.com

Thank You
It is supposed to be 102 degrees here in Alabama today with a heat index of 112, at least where I live. I say STAY INSIDE AND CRAFT!
Speedy the Cat's challenge #14 is to make a Thank You card. http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com/
PaperPlay has a challenge this week for 'Anything Goes'.Wow! That's easy.

I love this embossing folder. For one reason, it has a place to stamp your sentiment, if you choose. Of course, I think the vine is very pretty, also.

Crocus-First Sign of Spring
I've just gotten back from church services and let me tell you, it is blazing hot outside. I think our temps are supposed to be at least 100 degrees for most of the week here in Alabama. That is not allowing for the horrible humidity so I can just imagine the heat index.
I wanted to make a card this week to honor a couple of friends. Pam aka Pam124 (Splitcoast Stampers) is now on the Design Team for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenges. She is a fantastic card maker. I decided to go for the more intricate challenge this week for the MMSC64.
Had a lot of fun with this one. Great sketch! http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/
Another friend, Emily Keaton aka ejkeaton (SCS) is Guest Challenge Hostess this week for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenges so I am making this card in her honor, also. Emily wanted us to use a pin of some sort on our cards. I found a stick pin and added a couple of beads from a broken necklace. FTTC77 http://www.flourishes.org/category/timeless-tuesday/
I was vacationing in Orange Beach, AL last week near Pensacola, FL and called Jan, the owner of Flourishes (in Pensacola) to see if I could come by. She said yes, and I had the most wonderful time there browsing through her stamps, etc. I picked up the stamp set I using for this card while there. Fun, fun!!!
