Christmas Joy

Another Friday, a new Queen crowned on Splitcoaststampers and it is Linda aka Holstein. She has a gallery full of beautiful cards, so many white on white. I almost did that but had to add some red. :-) This is the card I cased. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1939183?&cat=500&ppuser=144590
I mostly kept her sketch. I wanted to do a Christmas card today as I started thinking last night just how close it is and how many cards I need to make.

I love this Cuttlebug embossing folder called Flurries. All I had to do was add a ribbon, a bit of scoring, and some gemstones, along with my sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers called Snowman Country (stamped 3 times).

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Stay Warm!!!!

A SNOWMAN....yea!!!! If you know me, you know I love a snowman. I gave the challenge #125 this week as hostess of the Stampin' B's Design Team and it is to make an easel, round or whichever way you prefer. When I started to make it, I hit upon the idea of doing a snowman. Well, it was all fun from there. Although, if I did it over, I would probably put the snowman on top as he is a bit large and I had to stand the top  straight up almost to show him off, leaving off the stop. I love him, anyway. I used a Flourishes stamp set called Warm Winter Wishes and I love this paper from Daisy Bucket-dbl sided All the Trimmings.
Rest of recipe below.

If you've never tried an easel, you can find the instructions on Splitcoaststampers in the resource section.
It is easy and makes a fun card.

Celebrating Flourishes 4th Birthday!!!! Blog Hop/Challenges

Flourishes is lighting the candles and getting ready to sing to honor their fourth birthday! And, as a way to celebrate, I’m happy to say I was hand-picked to help them have a bit of a party as a designer for their customer appreciation hop! The only challenge here was to create a card or project using my favorite Flourishes stamp set. Read on – I’ll tell you how you can win some Flourishes goodies too!

I love this Flourishes morning glory from the set called A Year in Flowers 2 .  When I was a young girl growing up at my parent's home, the morning glories grew wild and were so gorgeous. I think the wild kind are called bindweed (same family) but look the same to me. It is always good to find stamps that brings back memories of your childhood. You can think about those days as you create your card.
And, for a cute reason I love morning glories--sometimes when I get up in the morning and hubby is already up, I enter the room and he will say, "Morning, Glory". No, Glory is not my name, but I think it is very sweet and always reminds me of the morning glory flower. :-)

My Flourishes sentiment is from the Friendly Reminders set. It was just perfect for the Sizzix die cut I used. I'm always finding great sentiments with my Flourishes sets.

The rest of my recipe is below.

What can you win? Take a peek at this fun and festive blog candy!

So Kind, So Thoughtful!.......So CAS

This week at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #132, Cindy Haffner wants us to showcase our sentiments. I have a new one that I just love and the font is sooo pretty. I went very CAS with my card this week and I'm using the  With Gratitude stamp set.

My dp is DCWV- The Mariposa Pack- and I've used the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Floral Doily Motif die.
My small, cameo-type, green roses are by Recollections.

This may be the easiest card I've ever made......and I really like it.

Dimension and Texture

The challenge at Tuesday Throwdown #63 is dimension and textures. This week MY GRAFICO supplied the design team with some digital images to work with. I chose Garden Tools from the Pretty Primitive stamp set. The cute flowers are my Stampin'Up! paper. I stamped, colored, and cut out my pot and tools. The gloves are paper pieced. I'm using a Martha Stewart punch called Flower Patch. The rest of my recipe is below.

It is a busy week for me. Be sure to check back Wednesday to see what I'm up to...something good!!!
