My Sweetie Pie

A quick post of a card for my sweet granddaughter who turns two tomorrow. It's already on the way and hope it gets there in time.  This image reminds me of her and how she hugs her stuffed doggie, the one she holds with her blankie when she goes to sleep. Her blankie at the moment is a pillow case ..ha.. and sometimes a large pillow. So, if you're rocking her, you have a lap full. Too sweet.  I wanted flowers and frills as she is a girly girl. Plus, she has those adorable two pony tails..my son calls them her antennae.

How About Some Christmas

We're through the HOT 4th of July and I thought for the CCEE Stampers challenge to use three circles anywhere on your card, a Christmas card would be in order. Thanks to Lois for this challenge.

I'm using a mix of scrap ribbons behind my Spellbinders Blossom die cut. I don't know the name of my stamp but I think it came from one of the barrels of stamps you can purchase at Hobby Lobby.

The paper is from PapertreyInk-Bitty Dot Basics. My Sis gave me a large box of die cuts some years ago and I thought the snowman would be cute used on my card. She picked up this box of die cuts at an after Christmas sale at Michaels Arts and Crafts. Thanks, Sis.

So, this is a fun challenge, don't you think? Come along...we would love to see your card/project.

FOSTV-Red, white, and blue

I don't know about all of you but it has been a miserable weekend where I live in AL. When temps are in the 100's, it is very unpleasant, especially when it is the same for days and days. Thankfully, the humidity hasn't been too terrible but it'll be back soon enough.

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge #27 is to make a red, white, and blue card. I made a patriotic card last week so I'm going a different direction this time. This challenge can be found at Home of Speedy TV.

I'm using the Pussy Willows stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co. I colored and cut out the image (bird and branches) and popped them on the frame. I sponged the clouds with VersaMagic Summer Sky using a Stampin'Up! circle scalloped punch for the template.

I' sorry I don't know the maker of the frame. I think someone gave it to me long ago.  The rest of my recipe is at the end of the post.

Hope you'll join us this week for the challenge. Some lucky winner will receive this Mark's Finest Papers stamp set, Train Talk.

Remaining recipe:
Copics
Marianne Designs embossing/cutting folder called Frame (I sanded it with a file)
Memento Ink-Tuxedo Black
Designer paper is PTI Bitty Dot Basics
