Let's Go to Hawaii

I sure would like to be on an island in Hawaii looking at these blossoms. It is chilly here today and very cloudy...just the kind of weather that makes me want to go to a sunny beach.

My card is for the Queen For the Day on Splitcoaststampers. Her name is Sue aka suen and this is the card I cased. I really loved that flourish running through her image. I'm using an image from Rubber Stamp Tapestry called Island Beauty. The stamps were pegs and they are really fun for this type card. Next, I stamped my flourish from Rhonna Farrer for Autumn Leaves. The sentiment is Inkadinkado.

The paper is Stampin'Up! Melon Mambo and Perfect Plum.

Simple and quick...just what I needed.

This is the final day of the blog hop. Hope you've enjoyed hopping with us this week.  Today, we are featuring the Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company stamp set called Train Talk. Isn't this the cutest train? There are more on this set and wonderful sentiments, too.
I made my banner by cutting a black strip of paper and using my scissors to cut out the 'v' shape. I've colored with Copics and used black and white houndstooth behind my image panel. Very easy and quick. This sentiment is great for those belated birthdays...the ones where we go 'oops'. :-)

Be sure to check out the rest of the team's cards, leave a comment, and hopefully you'll be a winner.

Flowers in Vase

This week's challenge from Cindy Haffner for the CCEE Stampers is to use pink, black, and white. I sure do like that combination. My sister gave me this awesome site for digital images. It is Digital Two for Tuesday and has the most beautiful, vintage images. I was on Leslie Miller's blog, Running With Scissors and she said the author of that blog searches for the vintage images in catalogs, books, and magazines where the copyright has expired. She said she scans them, cleans them up,  and then lets us use them as digital images. I love this one and it is from an 1896 Burpee Book. How awesome is that!

Hope you'll check out the rest of the team's beautiful cards and join us with your card.

Don't you just love these daffodils from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company? This stamp set is a new release called Daffodil Greetings. What says Spring better than these beautiful flowers? I love sets that name the flower.
My card was really easy to make. I cut out my frame with my trimmer, added another layer, and finished off with a ribbon and button. Easy Peasy! The image was colored with Copics.

I hope you're having fun hopping along with us this week. We have two days to go, so get hopping and maybe you'll win one of the fabulous stamp sets this week.

I have a pink poodle to show you today. It was fun to make this card. I'm using the Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company stamp set called Fabulous Dogs. This set is great for dog lovers, masculine cards, fun cards, or just whatever you wish.

I used a sketch challenge from Splitcoaststampers, #358.

Recipe:
Stamps listed above
Paper: MFP, A Heinrich Company premium white cardstock, unknown pink cardstock, and Hobby Lobby black cs
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics, Spellbinder circle and circle, scallop nestabilities, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Textile embossing folders, corner rounder, Offray ribbon, and rhinestones for the collar

Here I am using another dog from the same set, Fabulous Dogs.

Isn't he a handsome thing? He looks as if he has been to obedient school. I'm using sketch #369 from Splitcoaststampers for my card. The paper is Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co.-Old World Gold premium cover cardstock and  black scraps. I paper pieced the dog and collar.
My hubby's birthday was this month and this is the card he received. He liked it!!!!!

O.K., it is now time to hop along to the rest of the team. Good luck on being a winner.

Spring Has Sprung

Monday means it is another challenge at Friends of Speedy TV located at Home of Speedy TV.  Week 16 is a very easy challenge, Anything Goes.

I'm using a Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company stamp set called Blessings for the image and sentiment and the butterfly is a sneak peek a from a set called Daffodil Greetings and will be released this week. The butterfly was stamped twice. I cut out all but the antennae of one of the images and popped on top. The lilies were also stamped twice with top layer popped up.

We sure hope you'll come over to Speedy TV and join us. If you play in the FOSTV challenge, you may be the lucky winner of this stamp set, Cowgirls Rule.

Also, Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company has a blog hop beginning tomorrow and lasting through Friday, 4/20. Hope you'll join in and maybe win a newly released stamp set.

Featured Stamper on SCS

Anyone like beets? I do if they are pickled, otherwise forget it! I rarely get to play in the Splitcoaststampers challenges on Sundays but I'm not feeling too well today and am home.

Shellie aka Shellied is the new Featured Stamper on SCS today and I wanted to honor her with a case of one of her cards. I chose this one. I went more CAS and also added an embellishment at the top and used a different image. Hopefully you see the resemblance in the layout.

I colored my image with Copics and sponged while still in the die. My image is stamped twice and I cut out and popped a top image.

Recipe:
Stamps-Flourishes Garden Fresh
Paper: PTI white, Stampin'Up! Old Olive, unknown dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Summer Sky
Accessories: Copics, Stampin'Up! Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, misc. button, Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork die, Spellbinder rectangle scallop nestabilitie, green pearls
