A Robin's Eggs

Raise your hand if you're hot!!! I know so many have HOT temps right now. Actually, even with 97 degrees, we're not suffering like last year. We had 14 days with the exception of one when we were in the 100's. The hottest temps were two days straight of 107 degrees. The humidity was unbearable.  This has been a mild summer with a lot of temps in the 80's. It has heated up, though, in the last couple of weeks.

My sister knows I love birds and sent me this adorable embossing folder. It is from Craft Concepts and is called Love Birds. Don't you hate when your ribbon is lumpy because of the embossing? I should have put a strip of cardstock under it and punched borders.  I've had the Prima nest for a while. It is named Cradle Robin. My paper is PTI white cardstock and the ribbon is Offray/Amethyst.
My ribbon is quite a bit darker than my inspiration photo (shown below)but purple just the same.

Here is the photo for Inspired by Stamping's inspiration challenge. Actually, there are three but I've done the other two already. It is a two week contest.

I'm using a stamp from Inspired by Stamping and entering their challenge IBSIC #58 and my card will also go into the Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery. I love the large stamps in this set/Big Wishes II and the beautiful font.

My card is also entered into Addicted to Stamps and More-CAS challenge--#54
Another fun challenge I'm entering: Oozak-#18--Anything Goes with Texture

Graceful

I'm using a sketch today from the Mojo Monday sketch challenge #302 and entering my card there.

I've also made my card for the Inspired by Stamping IBSIC #60 challenge. The colors are really pretty and one of my favorites. I'll also enter my card into the Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery Contest for July. - http://joannamunster.com/customer-gallery/

I hope my colors are close enough. I used two different colors of pink Copics. The stamps I'm using are Inspired by Stamping Vintage Background and Graceful Hydrangea. I stamped the background with Memento Tuxedo Black on white cardstock instead of using patterned paper. For the image, I colored the leaves with a bit of gray so as not to use any green. I think that is close enough for black.

The ribbon is pink grosgrain and I added some pink rhinestones. The rest is PTI white cardstock and black from Hobby Lobby.

Whoots in the House

I haven't used owls in a long time but I was in a scrapbook store Friday that had Art Impressions Whoots. I thought they were so cute and had to have them. Unfortunately, as I was coloring my lightest Copic was almost dry, therefore the splotching on my little guys. Ugh! But, after all, owls can have splotchy looking feathers.

I am doing a case of a card on this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers. Here is her card.
I liked the sketch and that is what I went with. The card I am case-ing belongs to Jeanne aka akeptlife.

The owls are stamped, colored, cut out and popped on a circle piece of burlap. I found this fun My Mind's Eye paper pad at Michaels Arts and Crafts and it had embellishments to match. Love that.
I added a grosgrain ribbon and stick pin to finish it.

The inside sentiment reads: Another Birthday...it'll only HOOT a little!

I'm entering the Allsorts challenge blog-Wk #215-Fur and Feathers
Also, entering Tammy's Scrapin Corner-challenge #70-Animals (yes, birds are animals)
