Poppies and Dots

I am having a really hard time keeping up with all that I'm doing. But, I did have time to play in the Ways to Use it challenge on Splitcoaststampers last week. The challenge was to use dots. They could be made by drawing, using patterned paper, or an image of dots. I chose the paper .

I hand made the  poppies with an orchid petal multi punch by Punch Bunch. Yes, that is odd to make a poppy with an orchid petal punch but that is how it is done. The top layer behind the poppies is a Make an Impression Poppy punch-in stamp. It's another one of my Atlanta purchases. I also used used a McGill starburst punch for the flower center.

I colored the poppies and leaves with Copics, used PTI Bitty Dot Basics dp and DIY Shop notch banner/American Crafts. I added the black and white twine and was finished.

Have a great weekend.

Window Box of Flowers

I got a few cards made last week and this one was for the Splitcoaststampers challenge CC488. This is a color challenge.

It took a bit of time to make my flowers but it was fun. The stamp is Make an Impression/Shirley Rainman. I stamped the image, then I punched the flowers with two Punch Bunch punches. One was the sunflower and the middle was a sun punch. I colored the flowers with Copics.

Here is a photo of the stamp from Ebay.

I punched and colored a small bee. You know they love flowers. The window frame was also colored with Copics.  I added some tiny flowers for the wallpaper inside.

I have a book called Punch-Ins/Make an Impression that shows a lot of these stamps and how to make the flowers that coordinate. The designer is Susan Tierney-Cockburn. The sad thing is Punch Bunch is going out of business in December of this year. I bought some of the stamps and punches for other flowers while on my trip to the Atlanta scrapbook stores.

Paper-Stampin'Up! Pretty in Pink cardstock, Georgia Pacific white cardstock, MME paper pad/Bramble Rose

I'm Back and With a Beach Card

From my card, I imagine you can guess that I've been away to the beach. We were in Panama City Beach with my family. We all got a condo together. When we returned, I took some more time off to catch up on some of my duties over on SCS.  This card reminds me of my 4 yr. granddaughter playing in the sand. My card was for two challenges on Splitcoaststampers: CAS-A Day at the Beach and TLC491-And She Scores!

I used die cuts from Impression Obsession for the pail and shells. I love those dies. The paper was PTI white cardstock and Graphic 45/By the Sea Collection...love that paper pad. The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps/Silly Shells.

Would you like to have this folder?  I have a very small giveaway for my wonderful, faithful readers. I've missed all of you.  Just leave a comment by midnight central time Saturday, August 2nd and the winner will be announced next Monday, August 4th.

I have one of these folders and I think it can be made into a cute card for Christmas.

I'll leave you with a pretty photo of the beach. I don't recall seeing the water ever look prettier.

My little munchkin/s are somewhere in that pool. They had a great time together.
