National Tooth Fairy Day
CCEE1309
I'm just a wee bit excited as the weatherman has forecast snow flurries for Friday night into Saturday morning. Maybe a dusting in some locations. Don't laugh...I can even get excited just seeing a little coming down. Maybe he is wrong and there will be a big snow. Not likely, I'm sure.
For the last two days, there have been lots of robins in my yard. That's a good sign when they come in so many numbers. Spring is on the way. We'll have green grass and lots of leaves on the trees in 6-7 weeks. I can hardly wait.
Frances Byrne is giving her last challenge for the month of February at CCEE Stampers and asked that we celebrate National Tooth Fairy Day. How do we do that? Of course, make a card with a fairy included. I'm using a fairy image a friend sent to me so I don't don't the name of the image. It is so cute, though.
I see the glitter on the wings isn't showing like I wanted but they are really sparkling. I colored the image with Copics and added some sheer ribbon with sweet flowers. The rose from Inspired by Stamping was colored and cut out. Added a sentiment and I'm all finished.
We hope you'll join us this week at CCEE Stampers and help us celebrate.
I'm entering this card over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge where the challenge this week is Anything Goes.

Circles and Washi Tape
I hope you like all my Washi tape. I was over on Emily's blog yesterday at My Little Slice of Bliss where she was doing her monthly feature for the DeNami Design blog. Emily was showing how to use Washi tape with backgrounds. Believe me, I loved each one and could not wait to try them. It just happened I wanted to play in a Splitcoaststampers challenge (TLC418)yesterday which was to use circles. So, I jumped in and did a background of different brands of tapes I had on hand. I really like how it turned out. Thanks, Emily!
My circle and sentiment are from Inspired by Stamping. I cut out the circle with a Spellbinders circle nestabilitie and colored it on the inside. I hand cut the banner and because my sentiment was on the circle, I just added my gemstones.
It was such a fun card to make. I'm quite sure I'll be using some more of Emily's ideas before too long. Love me some Washi tape. It is so easy to remove and place back on your card if you get it on crooked or whatever you don't like.
Shucks, do you see the red tape on the right side? It is a bit off at the top but I can easily correct it by pulling it off and correcting with a new piece. It didn't even show until I made a photo. You know how that magnifies everything. I wouldn't have put it on the blog or SCS if I had noticed.

Flowers, Leaves, and Best Wishes
Good Monday Morning! Is there such a thing? :-) I had a good weekend not doing anything stressful. I was out looking for a new light fixture and a new mailbox. This is the fourth time our mailbox has been torn down. The first time was when it had snowed and a sledder with a rope cut the post off from the top of the box and it has been backed into a couple times. These are long stories you don't want to hear about. LOL New box is up and postman will be happy. Light fixture was maybe a success.
I have made a card today to enter the challenge at Inspired by Stamping-IBSIC#47.
I was inspired AND challenged by these colors. I had to put my thinking cap on to get these colors the way I liked but I am pleased with my card in the end.
The stamp set I used is Inspired by Stamping/Just Because for the sentiment piece and sentiment. I cut it out with the Fancy Label Dies 1 by IBS. Love it! It was inked with SU Elegant Eggplant (probably looks black but is dark purple).
My paper colors are PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! Sage Shadow and Pool Party. The ink is Stampin'Up! Elegant Eggplant.
I'll also enter my card into the Love Fest challenge at Splitcoaststampers. My card will be for the Simon Says Stamp challenge-Die Crazy/LoveFest2013E.
Rest of recipe used:
Stamp for background-All Night Media/Large Woven Threads (done in dark purple ink, SU Elegant Eggplant)
Accessories: Sizzix Big Die-Flowers #D (rolled roses), white pearls, Martha Stewart tags/doily, Marianne Design Creatables/Leaves, Gary M. Burlin & Co. glitter glue in purple
