It's Friday...Queen for the Day

This will be my last card until Monday. I just had to do a card for the new queen on Splitcoaststampers. The new queen is Barb aka BarbieP and this is the card I cased. Well, kind of, anyway. I started out the same as her and finally left my paper off at the bottom as it wasn't working
for me.  Then, there were other changes but I think you can see her card as my inspiration.

Thanks to my sis, I'm using a new stamp set today. It includes the flower and butterfly. What a great sis who is always supplying me with wonderful crafting supplies. No, you can't borrow her. LOL

My card also fits the challenge Less is More. This week is a color challenge, blue and green. Hope it is o.k. to use a neutral black as that is the color for my butterfly and sentiment.

The challenge at Moving Along with the Times is Summertime. What says summer better than
butterflies and flowers? :-)

Fabulous Bingo challenge at Simon Says Stamp
As you can see, I chose ribbon, free, and blooms.

CCEE Stampers-Shaped Card

I'm in love...with this darling little sheep given to me by my pal, Nancy Williams/What's on My Kitchen Counter.  She knows I love sheep and sent it to me for my birthday, along with a beautiful
card. Of course, that was in June and I am just getting to use it now. Isn't it the cutest? Thanks, Nancy.

Anne Harmon gave the CCEE Stampers challenge this week to make a shaped card. I don't make many of those type cards but had so much fun with this one. Thanks for a fun challenge, Anne.

Hope you'll join us with your shaped card this week. We would love to see it.

SCS Sketch Challenge

This is my second post today as I wanted to do a sneak peek card using two new images from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co.  The two sets I'm using are Learned Lesson  and Bring on the Sun (seniment only). The blog hop starts 8/14 and these stamps will be for sale. Hope you'll hop along with us and maybe you'll be the lucky recipient of some awesome stamp sets.

My card is for the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge 397.

I'm using Spellbinders circle and circle scallop nestabilities and a Creative Imaginations "Beloved" tag for the Happy Birthday Sentiment. The designer paper is unknown. I paper pieced my apple.

Late for the Queen

I am late for a very important date. And, that is Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers. The Queen is Sue aka bensarmom and this is the card I cased. Yes, I know the 'rule of the uneven' but I didn't have room for another ornament so there are only two.

I am happy to get another Christmas card made. You know it will be here before we expect.

My card is using a stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co. called Greetings of the Season Mini.

The ornaments are EK Success ornament punch and I ran them through Cuttlebug embossing folders, Swiss Dots and Snowflakes. The border is Martha Stewart Frosty Village edge punch.  The background is also the snowflakes embossing folder.

I colored the pine and cones with Copics.

Have a great day. :-)

FOSTV-Chalk

Hope you all had a great weekend. We have had family visiting since Thursday. We had good times but the weather has been on the rainy side and that spoiled a few plans.  But, we thoroughly enjoyed our time together.

This week the Friends of Speedy TV challenge #32 is to use chalk. It had been a long time since I had used chalk and I really enjoyed using it again on this rose from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co. from a set called Love Remains. The sentiment from the same company is from a set called Oopsy Daisy.

I used Craf-T Products Decorating Chalks-Pale Yellow, Forest Green, and Butterscotch
We hope you'll join us this week. Maybe you'll be the winner of this wonderful set called Buffalo Spring.

My card was also entered into Vicki Dutcher's DTGD challenge on Splitcoaststampers.
