Queen's Case

I bet you thought my graduation card posted yesterday would be it for me. No, I can't stop this week. I've made several cards, haven't I?

Yikes! I hope I didn't go too bright for the Inspired by Stamping challenge #54 of yellow, green, and white. I sprayed my paper with ink spray and you can see that it is a more yellow tint at the bottom of my paper. I swiped it with a paper towel but it stayed very bright. It is poppin'! IRL, it doesn't look quite this bright. I guess this is where the challenge police show up. LOL

My card is also for the Queen for the Day, Emily aka Stamp Muse on Splitcoaststampers. I chose this card to case from her wonderful gallery. Her butterfly is just beautiful, as is her card.

Blue and Gold Graduation Card

Yes, it's me again and this time with a graduation card for a niece. I found several of this type card on Pinterest but am using this one from Welcome to Stampin @ the Mall for a guide. I'm not sure how she made her white shirt. For my blouse, I used a craft knife and then inserted a white piece of cardstock inside. It will also be the piece I stamp on and write a note.

I made the cap by cutting a 1 1/2" square and punched a circle for the button on the top. The tassel is embroidery thread. Buttons are from Jolee's Boutique notion kit, given to me by my sis.

If you like this card, you should give it a try. It's easy and fun.

CCEE 1321

Over at  CCEE Stampers this week, Shirley gave the challenge, Let's Go Fishing. I didn't know what I was going to do until I found this digital image from McMahon Five Designs called Fisher Fella. The sentiment is also included with a few others in the purchase.

Go over to CCEE and take a look at the DT's card. It's your turn to make a card and upload using our inlinkz tool. It will be fun to see how you interpret this challenge.

Long Nose Snowman

The Merry Monday challenge #63 sketch:

I decided to use my circle on the sketch to make a snowman. I punched a red circle so my snowman would pop out and then a smaller 1 3/4" circle in white for the body. A friend sent me the cutest snowman and I cut out the head only and glued to my circle to make my snowman.  I've added some color in blue with Copics and also some Stickles.

My banners are hand cut.

Twas the Night

I made my card for this week's Featured Stamper, my talented blogging and Punchkateer pal. Anyone who knows Colleen aka Smoatsmom on Splitcoaststampers or from her blog Dietrich Designs knows she has the most elegant cards ever.

She sent me this Christmas card this past season and I absolutely love it so I decided to try to case it. I really needed the beautiful red and white houndstooth but had to settle for this blue/green color. I used a stamp the same as hers. I had sent this one to Colleen after she sent me a wonderful bird stamp. She knows I love birds and houndstooth. After buying her stamp, I had to buy one for myself. :-) Isn't that the way it is?

I ended up making a square card instead of like Colleen's A2. Well, that's a long story I won't go into.
Otherwise, I tried to follow her creation and make a few changes so I wouldn't be copying her card.

I like my cards better on SCS because I always show them larger. I need to figure out how to enlarge my photo space  on my blog as I can't show the same size as I do on Splitcoaststampers.

Colleen, have fun this week being a celebrity on Splitcoaststampers. You deserve it!
