A CAS Zinnia

It's Friday and that means another Queen for the Day crowned on Splitcoaststampers. The new queen is Neva aka n5stamper. I chose to case this card of hers. Instead of patterned paper, I am using a K&CO adhesive border with pretty birds and vines.  I chose not to use my nestabilities and just make a 3D zinnia which I colored and cut out. I added a sentiment where her top nestie was placed and that is it!

Recipe:
Stamps: Flourishes-Zinnias
Paper-PTI white cardstock
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: K&CO Engraved Garden Border (adhesive), Copics

CCEE Stampers & QFTD

Joanne is our hostess this month at CCEE Stampers and this week she is asking for flowers, flowers, flowers. I have two Recollections floral embellishments but other flowers scattered about my card...some on the dp and others on my die cut.

Also, while I was away last week, I missed the Queen for the Day challenge #102 on Splitcoaststampers. The Queen was Judy Rozema aka StampingQueenJAR. Here is the card I cased. I really loved it. Of course, you can see changes were made. I did keep her sketch, though. Instead of stitches, I used a Sew Stamper. It is a self-inking rolling stamp. I had bought a Sew Easy once and never used it but the heads for the rolling stamp fit the Sew Easy tool it so I decided to try it out. If you would like to see them, go here.  Mine was purchased at my scrapbook store. I'm using it on the sentiment panel and is called Burst Stitch.
They even have Doodle Stampers which is awesome for me because I'm afraid of doodling. LOL

Also, I'm entering these challenges:
Divas by Design challenge #125 to use a favorite thing. Mine would be die cuts (listed below).
Let's Ink It Up #21-Show Us Your Flowers

The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company and is from the stamp set Winter Crocus.

My die on to the top is a Memory Box floral circle and I used a Spellbinders classic large oval die and Spellbinders classic heart die.

The designer paper is Recollections Floral Embellishments and BasicGrey Out of Print collection (giclee double sided). Added crinkled seam binding and it's all finished!

As Special As You Are

I'm home from being out of town and trying to catch up. I don't want t miss Joan's Gardens challenge this week so I jumped right on it this morning. Here are the requirements:

Your card should have corner embellishments
Use green and blue
Add flowers of some kind
Use an oval background

I also want to enter the challenge at Simon Say Stamp challenge-Anything Goes!
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #14-"Text Me" -More than 4 words enters you into the drawing twice

Stamp: Hero Arts-Special Birthday

I got to use some new dies I ordered from Joan and they are so much fun. The little bird, birdhouse, and ivy vine are from Marianne Designs Creatables. Eek! I just noticed I forgot to place my bird on the card. Well, I'll just use it another time.
For the flowers, I used a Martha Stewart hydrangea punch. My oval is Spellbinders classic large ovals and the side panel uses the Martha Stewart iron gate edge punch. The corners are Spellbinders Shapeabilities Pendants-Contemporary Hearts

Paper: Stampin'Up! Certainly Celery cs and PTI vintage cream cardstock, DP is Recollection Blue Flower and Recollections Hot Pink Floral with green on opposite side (I used the green only)

Sympathy-FOSTV

I'm away today but my card should be uploaded...counting on you, Blogger.  The Friends of Speedy TV challenge (FOSTV) this week is to make a sympathy card. I went CAS with mine and made it all black and white which I think is fitting for a sympathy card.

My image is from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company and the set is Adirondack Summer Mini stamp set. The sentiment is from the same company, Love Remains.

I'm using a PoppyStamps Grand Madison window die.

Hope you'll join us for the FOSTV challenge #10 at Home of Speedy TV.
