QFTD28, Inspiration Challenge, Crazy4Challenges

The good news I have today is it's raining at my house. We are about 12 inches behind in rainfall. My utility bill will be a large one this time for watering...have to save the grass, shrubs, and flowers.

I am really not fond of this mix of colors nor my ribbon. I made a Halloween card yesterday that I really liked and am not in the summer mood but I was doing a color challenge and it is what it is.

This is the color inspiration I used from the splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge today. I managed to include some of the colors. The handbag is from a
company called TADENBERG.

I'm also entering this card into Crazy4Challenges They want to see some bling. Mine will be the button and the sparkling Stickles on my leaves.

The card is also for Carla aka cmsuto on Splitcoaststampers. She is Queen For the Day, although she will wear the crown all week until another Queen is named

Fall Pumpkins and Leaves/Thanksgiving-Stampin B's Design Team, WT289-SCS

Here it is the first day of Fall so I decided for the Stampin B's Design Team challenge today I would make an Autumn card. I believe pretty colored leaves and pumpkins qualify. Vicki Dutcher, our hostess this week, challenged us to do piercing on our card. I love what piercing does for a card and used a digital template from Angel's Landing to pierce the top of my card and added a few pearls given to me by my good friend on Splitcoaststampers, Pam124. Thanks, Pam! Hope you like my Fall creation to start the season off with some color.
Come and join us with your pierced project this week at the Stampin B's here.
I'm also entering my card in the Ways To Use It challenge, WT289 on Splitcoaststampers to make a holiday card whether it be Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

Vintage Roses

I am so in love with this vintage paper and don't know the name of it. I think I picked it up at a scrapbook store. I wanted to use it with my die-cut frame. I used a Flourishes stamp of leaves and branches (Home Tweet Home) and cut it down considerably. Several of the leaves are covered with Stickles. The flowers are punched and I put glossy accents and dazzling diamonds on them to dry overnight. I am using a sketch (shown above) from the MMSC. I lowered my image and frame and placed to the left because I couldn't stand to cover those beautiful roses.

Challenges entered: Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge
Glitterbabe's Challenge #12 'Anything Goes'
A Spoonfull of Sugar #122 'Anything Goes'
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #85 Celebrate (Guess I'm coming up with my own reason to celebrate as they said you could---guess I'm just celebrating getting to use this dp I love.) I know, 'Hello' isn't the best celebration sentiment going. LOL

Stamp: Flourishes-Home Tweet Home (cut down)
Paper: dp unknown, SU Real Red, SU Very Vanilla
Frame: K&CO embossed die-cut frame
Ribbon: Lush by My Mind's Eye (green), Ribbon FX (red)
Flowers: Martha Stewart hydrangea, Martha Stewart Stamp and Punch (flower)
Stickles: Lime Green
Glossy Accents by Ranger
Stampin'Up! Dazzling Diamonds

Holiday Hugs and Kisses With Lace Doily

Tried something new today. I saw a tutorial on Joan Ervin's blog here: on lace sponging. Joan said you can also use a punched border but I thought I would try a doily because I couldn't find one piece of lace. Ugh! I placed it over my corner and sponged with Memento Desert Sand ink. I thought it made a nice corner.

My card is for these challenges: JustRite to use dark red, black, and ivory. Also make your own embellishment, ex: diecut, crocheted flower, etc. Mine is
the doily I sponged and my die cut. Challenge #036
