Dotted Tulips
Ooh, I love tulips and I love dots so you can imagine what fun I had making this card for the new Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers. She is Charlene aka LilLuvsStampin' and her gallery is full of awesome cards to choose from. I decided to case this card. She also had a lot of dotted, paper pieced tulips so that was calling me, too.
I paper pieced my tulips and used the same double sided paper for the pennants. The black was just a scrap. My recipe is below.
I want to enter my card into the Twisted Tuesday Challenges-I Never Promised You a Rose Garden with a 'twist'....no roses or rosettes. But, you must have flowers.
Also, I'm entering the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog-April Showers Bring Spring Flowers

FOSTV -Spring Fling
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Easter for me was spent at emergency room with my husband. Long story, but we were there from about 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 pm. Thankfully, everything is going to be fine after he got a strong shot and some antibiotics. No church or Easter cantata for us this year and that is very different from our usual Easter Sundays.
This week, challenge #15 at Friends of Speedy TV (FOSTV) is to make a spring fling card. Truthfully, this is not the one I first made to use but I committed a boo boo and will have to use the one I originally made for the challenge next week and that is fine. It will work well.
I'm using a Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company stamp set called Dogwood Blossoms. To me, the dogwood really says Spring. The sentiment is also MFP, A Heinrich Company set called Blessings. I did an 'out of the box' technique with the dogwood.
You should go over to Home of Speedy TV and play in the FOSTV challenge #15. We will be giving away this super set to a lucky winner of the challenge. It is called Buffalo Spring.
Recipe for above card:
Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company-Dogwood Blossoms and Blessings
Paper: MFP, A Heinrich Company Premium Cover white cardstock, ColorMates Medium Mostly Mauve
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Marianne Design Swirls Embossing/Cutting Folder, Memory Box Larue Flourish, Spellbinders circle nestabilitie, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, pink pearls, Copics
