Spring Joy

My card features Dogwood Blossoms
This is the final day of the blog hop and we hope you've enjoyed our cards and hopping along with us.
My card and sentiment today are from the set called Dogwood Blossoms. It is beautiful and makes me long for the trees to bloom. I do not have one in my yard but the neighbors do and there are a few in the woods behind me. You know, they do grow wild naturally in the woods or you can go to the nursery and get one to plant. They say Easter, Spring, or a thank you as I've done..just whatever occasion you like....love this set!!!

I'm using MFP cardstock, Premium Heavy White and Cherry Slush. Rest of recipe is below:

Copics
Martha Stewart-Double loop edge punch
Stampin'Up! circle punch-1 1/4" for sentiment tag
Marianne Design Creatables Tags and Buttons die

CCEE Stampers

You can find my blog hop card one post down for day 3 of Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company.

This is my card for CCEE Stampers . I've been through quite an ordeal as my blog disappeared and didn't come back for about 6 hours or more. Now, that is quite scary. It was the first time it had happened to me. I was assured by other bloggers it would return and I'm certainly glad it did.

The challenge (CCEE1207) was given by Shirley this week to make a white on white card. You may add color to your image and use a colored ribbon if you like. I did sneak in a bit of lavender behind my cutting and embossing folder. :-)  I do love white on white cards. Hope you do, too. The members of the Design Team have made some beautiful cards. Check them out!!!

I'm using a Flourishes stamp set called A Year of Flowers 2 and it is the tiger lily. The sentiment is Stampendous Encouraging Words.  I used Copics to color the lilies in purples and added a ribbon by Ribbon Boutique in light orchid. Spellbinders Labels 3 is the frame I used for my image .The cutting and embossing folder is Marianne Design Designables Swirls Cutting and Embossing folder.

Cardstock used: PTI white, World Win ColorMates Light Lovely Lilac

My card using set Blessings
I just love bunny rabbits so this is the image I chose to use from this set called Blessings. The set also includes a beautiful lily and several sentiments, such as the one I'm using. It is great for Easter, Spring, Summer, or almost any occasion. I used MFP's Premium Heavy White cardstock and the designer paper is from The Mariposa Stack. The card is colored with Copics and I  made the sentiment tag by cutting a pennant design into each end of the strip of paper with my scissors and adding pearls. The small die cuts sticking out around the top of my image are just pieces from a Cheery Lynn Designs lace rose and flourish die that I had cut apart.

My frame was made using one of Becca's tutorial found here at Amazing Paper Grace. I love making it and it is really easy, especially after making the first one. I made the frame using a Moroccan border punch..not a punch around the page.

Also, another tip: After using my largest Spellbinders Blossom die for the rabbit image, I used one Lois' (one of our DT members) ideas to make the size I need to layer it on.  If your next nestabilitie size up is too large, or in my case, I had used the largest one,  just place the nestie you used on you paper and trace around the outside rim and cut with your scissors. It gives you a good size rim to layer your top one on without being too large.

Hope you check back tomorrow for the last day of our hop.

Our February New Release Mini:
Spring Joy

I am loving the awesome set I'm using for this card. It is called North American Woods. It is super for masculine cards or for lovers of nature and animals, so many occasions. I decided to go clean and simple with this card. I used a Spellbinders rectangle nestabilitie to emboss my cardstock and stamped the image inside. The sentiment is from the same set.  I colored with Copics and added the sentiment and that is about it. The paper is Mark's Finest Papers- Dark Night Navy Linen and Premium Heavy White cardstock.

Hope you'll be back to hop along with us tomorrow.

Spring Joy

My card features the Relax a Bit stamp set. How gorgeous is this set....love it! It can be used for so many occasions. I think my card will probably go to a good friend...just because.

I think my card is fairly self-explanatory. I colored, cut out, and popped my image. Love this stick pin I got a while back from Mark's Finest Papers. Hopefully, it is still in stock.  If not,  there are plenty of other beautiful ones to choose from.

Other items used:
Papers: MFP- Markie's Strawberry Milk and  Premium Heavy White cardstocks, unknown dp
Accessories: Copics, Spellbinders lattice rectangles die, Memory Box Amira Flourish die, button and lace from Jo-Ann Stores, Martha Stewart eyelet lace border punch, MFP ribbon, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder

We look forward to you hopping with us tomorrow.

Pop-Up Card

This is my first pop-up card and it was fun. The tutorial can be found here  on Splitcoaststampers if you would like to make one. It really was easy. I'm using a couple of the stamp sets that will be released tomorrow (Tuesday) at Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company. The stamp set on the outside of the card is Dogwood Blossoms and the inside image/sentiment is Blessings. The DT will be having a blog hop starting Tuesday and going through  Friday showing these and other sets that will be released. Hope you'll hop along with us.

My card is for the FOSTV challenge at Home of Speedy TV and it is to decorate the inside of your card. I used one of the pretty images from Blessings and cut out only the rabbit's head and propped on the sentiment. Love his long, floppy ears. I'll be showcasing that complete image later in the week.

A little tip: To get the purple nestabilitie the size I wanted, I put down the nestie and traced the outer edge and then cut out with scissors. My next nestabilitie size would have left a larger rim than I wanted.  That is a litte trick I learned from Lois aka Clownmom, one of the MFP team members.

Recipe:
Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company-Dogwood Blossoms and Blessings
Paper: Mark's Finest Papers-White Storm Premium  and Garnet cardstock
Accessories: Marianne Designs Designables Swirls cutting and embossing folder, Spelllbinders Labels 4, pink pearls, Copics

Featured Stamper

I know, I know, I've made a card just about every day this week. But, today the Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers is a DT member with me on a couple of teams and I just had to case one of her cards. It is Kathy aka Airborne. I cased this gorgeous card of Kathy's. Of course, I changed it up a bit.

I'm using a stamp from my sis again. Isn't she nice to gift me with crafting items? The image is LaBlanche Stamps and is called Wild Flowers. I decided I would leave the image as it except to color the flowers toward the bottom. Added some black cardstock strips and pearls and I'm finished. I think this card can be used for several occasions.

Paper is Stampin'Up! So Saffron, black scraps, and PTI white cardstock

I love the challenge at Stampalot Challenge this week. It is In the Garden. I think that is what my card says. I think they are looking forward to Spring and Summer and so am I, therefore, I'm entering their challenge.

I'm also entering this wonderful challenge, Sweet Stampin'. The challenge is do a CAS card and you must stamp something.  I've used a LaBlanche Stamp image called Wild Flowers.
